No it's not.  I'm a little surprised (and disappointed) that we gave up 7 runs to them in the two games. 

 

We head to Ooltewah tomorrow for a weekend tournament and then we face Cherokee next week.

Not the first time that's happened. Cocke County usually treats the Jeff County games like the World Series, so it didn't surprise me that much.

 

Our schedule doesn't get any easier, as we host the defending state champions Hardin Valley on Thursday and go to Science Hill on Friday before a home-and-away with Seymour next week.

Jeff County got rained out against Franklin County yesterday but beat Chattanooga Central 13-1 and Cleveland 8-0 today.

How did MW do against HVA? Also, what was the score of the Elizabethton game?

Unfortunately, our game against HVA got called off, and we lost at Science Hill 13-3, so we're 5-3 now. And we wound up not playing Betsy.

 

We go to Seymour on Monday if the rain holds off, and then we host Seymour on Tuesday at Trojan Park. Big games for us.

We had two heartbreaking losses today to Sycamore (4-3) and North Penn (PA) (4-0). We lost both games on walk off hits. The North Penn hit was a walk off grand slam in the bottom of the 8th.
