Anybody else have a 'OLD' player that might be playing? Or wants to, or has anymore solid info on it?

 

All I know about it is the article that was in the Newsless Journal and a phone call I got from the 'clone' asking me if I would pay the $100 for him to play if he can make it home for it.

 

I asked him if he was still in shape for it. He proceeded to tell me how his bench press is now 55 pounds HIGHER than graduation, and his 40 time is still the same. Dodging bullets has a way of keeping your speed up! LOL

Must of the guys I know have relegated themselves to nothing more than 12 oz curls....lol

When you are still subject to being deployed, you tend to stay in shape......in addition to both 12 oz curls and 2 ounce shots. LOL

 

'Rumor' has it that there is four or MORE former Mr Football selectees going to play. I told the clone I would LOVE to watch Gaston Miller running wild again.

This would be one of the more interesting Alumni games there has been.  Some pretty good has beens would be playing.  Better than most of the never where's that have played in other Alumni games I have seen.

I've been to several Alumni games. So far I haven't seen any that could catch the Bradley/Cleveland games. Really hope they go at it again this year. 2 I won't ever go watch again unless Bradley plays them are Polk County and Walker Valley. Outside of Bradley and Cleveland, only one I wouldn't mind watching if it ever happens is, Maryville and Alcoa. That'd be a good one.

The clone's unit is partially deploying to Poland so he REALLY needs to know something so he can put in for leave to come home and play. Add in its a 14 hour drive one way from Fort Sill, travel time needs to be planned for also.

 

What Coaches need to be contacted also?

Well its officially now too late for the 'clone' to put in for leave to play and I am NOT going to have another heart attack so he can come home on emergency leave!

 

Would be VERY nice to know if this game is actually going to be played.  If for nothing else for those of us who would like to come out to watch and support it!

i have a question about the alumni game, why was there a former siegel football player playing for oakland? whats up with that......i guess recruiting never stops, even after playing days
