If mo west can't beat the Bears this year they will never beat them. Personally if I were a mowest fan I would fire all the coaches and start over now but what do I know. This Bears team will be very young and could lose any game on the schedule other than mo west lol. Co coach of the year over at west even though they had best team in history and lost to the Bears in 2 lopsided beat downs! Seriusly with all that talent he had he should be gone not co coach of the year. JMHO no offense they could beat the Bears by 50 this year if the coach doesn't find a way to blow it again!

Thank God, someone else finally realized what every West fan has known for nearly the last decade. Our offensive play calling makes me gag at times, and it cost us in our 3 losses last season. 2006 was the last time West didn't underachieve.

 

People seem to think the region is West's to lose this year. It is, and I'm afraid that's just what we'll do until I see otherwise.

No BS sdot. I am hearing of at least 2 studs that have appeared out of thin air for spring practice. I can't imagine playing anywhere else in this area by far the best program in Sevier County. Still last season is a tough act to follow but things are sounding good. Need to sign the Wallace brother to a long term deal I'm hearing he may only play baseball. That would be ashame but next man up if so.

Last I heard he was going to play. I hope he does. He played great defense, really laid the wood. The transfer I was talking about is out of county. Don't think he's moved yet. Will be a good addition. You gonna be at spring practice any?

I can always count on you for good news. He is a very good player. I also heard that they may be transitioning to more of a run oriented offense but that seems unlikely to me. Have you heard anything like that? Keep me posted on spring and I will keep hustling the recruits as they come through Dollywood!

Yeppers!!!  Da Bears better be gettin' ready for Cleveland week one!!!  This will be the most improved team in 5A.  Very young, almost everyone is back, and Coach Cummings will have this team running on all cylinders (year 2).  I see this one being a great game...Y'all get the Blue Raiders...We (Rhea Co) get to go to Baylor for a quest against the Red Raiders.

      This is a great question. The retirement seemed a little premature. I do not know the coach personally, but I hope he has found what he is looking for. He is a fine Christian man with a lot of principle and morals about him. I wish him nothing but the best. There are some players in the box for the next coach. This is going to be interesting to see how it plays out.

      Can’t believe no one posted on this and gave this team the recognition they deserve!  AAU team Tennessee went to Iowa and done what no other team had ever done and took down Iowa and the strength by holds in AAU nationals!!! Yes McCallie had a solid group of 8th graders and they showed up but we had an AAU team that wrestled their butt off and we didn’t just place in the top 5 … we won the whole dang thing! Yes the NHSCa’s were happening and that may have hurt but never once had TN ever won the national folkstyle duals national championship!!  It was a team effort and some amazing young kids!!!    We are not a fly over state any more… on a side note : we have any even better team for cadet National's team duals in Utah and have a chance to sweep both duals which would be unprecedented!!! However the funds aren’t there and USA isn’t in th position to help these kids get to utah as was AAU that got us to Iowa! Stay tuned for some oppertunities to help make a statement for Tn!!!
