Have they replaced him yet? Does it have anything to do with "losing" to Pickett Co. and not playing starters a lot in that game much (in the region) and then blasting Gordonsville in the next game? Which conveniently meant they didn't face Clay co in the semi-finals?

Coach Flynn stepped down on his own. He brought consistency to a program that desperately needed it. He could have remained as coach as long as he wanted in my opinion. They did finish fourth in the district tournament and had to win on the road against a solid Goodpasture team in the Region. They then defeated Gordonsville who was an upset winner at Clarkrange. Clarkrange had beaten Jackson County worse than Clay County during the season. Jackson County had actually won their previous meeting with Clay. No one intentionally lost a game and I think it's pretty classless to imply it.

Kevin Thomas is coming home to coach.

    • Yea, they have Davey quaking in his boots. Someday they'll even have a winning season.
    • Guessing this may have been the closest I can think of...... Bill Harlow: (from wiki) After leaving OSU, Harlow went on to win three national titles in freestyle wrestling.  He won a silver medal at the 1970 World Wrestling Championships, falling to Soviet Gennady Strakhov in the finals at 90 kg.
    • The Simpson brothers had good freestyle careers.

    • Maybe some of the historians can get on here and help me out, but has anybody from Tennessee ever had as much success in an international style as Boykin? The only other Tennessee native I can remember competing for world team spots is the older Boykin in freestyle and he wasn't nearly as close as Nick has been to making world teams.
