Whoever wins the Catholic/Fulton game should be in the drivers seat. I'm not sure what Central has returning but I think they can finish third maybe higher. The Irish play their first 5 games of the year on the road, playing at Morristown West, at CPA, at Central and at Notre Dame should help Catholic (or hurt them depending on how those games go) prepare for their visit to North Knoxville. I think AC finishes 4th, followed by Carter and Union County. Just my thought.

Catholic is the favorite I think them or Fulton finish 1st... Central or AC 3rd carter 5th union county last... Top heavy region imo...

Sounds about right. Top heavy district is what I think you Mean? The actual region in the toughest in the state. The region has 6 straight state champs and the closest games have been against region 1 opponents in the play-offs. Everyone else is playing catch up with all the blowouts in state championship games.

The one thing about this region is that the teams are so talented and well coached they push each other to be better. I'd like to see the state seed teams in order but traveling would a monster if the 32 seed was from Memphis and had to travel to play Fulton. Ouch.

In football the districts are classified as Regions. 8 regions with the top 4 making the playoffs (32). However it is top heavy.

I just looked it up and your correct. I always called them by whatever their conference name was IMAC, Big East, etc. If you look across the state most regions are top heavy with 3 to 4 contenders. I guess we can call it quad 1 when it's playoff time!

You're right I was referring to the district my bad... But the playoff region 1 is the toughest in 4A no question...

For some reason the Knoxville area use the numbers 4AA in basketball or Region 2-4A.  I use to live in Johnson City and University High played in the Smokey Mountain Conference and later the Watuaga Valley Conference. It would be cool if they came up with names.

    • Yeah, you might be right. We will see what happens. Should be interesting.
    • None taken ever. I just gotta believe that AC started the fire on this. Small towns talk clinton is a small town. They may have not been the official one to put ink to paper but I am sure they are the ones moving the pieces here.
    • No offense intended,  but I will take the word of an actual administrator in that system on that question.
    • My guess is, this has absolutely nothing to do with athletics. I could be completely wrong. Just going to let this play out over the next few days/weeks before throwing accusations around. Funny how when OR benefits from “transfers” it is because of the incredible school system and never for athletics because most people can’t afford the “tuition”! Going to be interesting to say the least.    And if AC is turning anybody in, shame on them. They have benefited and work the system more than most over the years.
    • I think if either were their own school system then it wouldn't have happened. Of course a lot will make sense if they student who got their grades changed was an athlete
