I say 3 yrs tops under Bradley

He has the program rejuvenated no doubt about it.  Lots of excitement now whether that pans out I have no idea, but that is certainly the goal.  I like our chances better before the decision this week that could potentially place teams like CAK, CPA, etc in the same class not to mention BA and Ensworth if they stayed down which they probably won't, but..

I know that a lot more kids are interested in playing now and that can only be a good thing.

At this point, I'll have to wait and see until all of this reclassification stuff gets over and see who moves to what class and so on. But let's understand one thing, USJ wanted a different voice with a state championship ring and they got it in Coach Bradley. USJ has got to be paying Coach Bradley a "butt load" of money, but let's also understand this, Coach Bradley got what he wanted. He got his lockeroom updated and remodeled, they made changes on the practice field (I think they added speakers so they can play music), and he got his playclocks for his offense. Now, that doesn't matter. What matters is the players and athletes, and other than Trey Smith, USJ doesn't have a lot. So my guess is no for right now.

USJ has a lot of talent, including Trey Smith,  and a great group of smart and aggressive players who will do very well with Coach Bradley at the helm.   Yes they will win a gold ball.

USJ got a great coach and a brilliant offensive mind in CRB, not to mention that his Dad came with him that has years of coaching experience in the SEC and an NCAA national championship under his belt. GREAT pick up for USJ. I will be pulling for you guys! Hated to lose him, but he is an offensive mastermind and I respect that he did what was best for him and his family.

However, Coach Bradley's system is VERY intricate, very detailed, requires TREMENDOUS work from the QB's and WR's (everyone of course but especially those positions) and I saw over and over again how good athletes from other schools would come to CAK and expect to plug in and they found it much harder (at those positions) than they would have ever thought IMO. While you can't teach speed and athleticism (and CAK had both when they won 2 state championships), you can, and Bradley does, teach technique, work ethic, and highly detailed practice. That is going to take some time for any group of kids to translate into.

Having said all that, CRB's system is truly almost impossible to beat if you have similar talent. Obviously, if their is a talent disparity of major proportions, that is likely to carry the day. But if things are equal / similar, his passing game is highly detailed and puts the defense in a position that there just aren't enough defenders in a given area to stop it. It still takes the right players and knowing the system to make it work, but I suspect USJ's opponents are in for a surprise, if not this year, very soon...

Yeah my boys know all to well what CRB teams can do. Milan is going to be pretty good this year. Should be able to give him a little payback. 😀

Always had the utmost respect for you and your Milan squad. 1st class program and classy on the field. Regardless of the outcome on the scoreboard, they played hard and with class. We know a little about having to play through scoreboard adversity as well playing Alcoa twice a year  . Best of luck to Milan this year, and of course, I'm sure you'll understand why I'll be pulling for Milan in only 9 of their games...

Due to my roots, not going to lie, I got angry when Rusty didn't try to throw for 39 more yards that day................LOL
