Radio announcer ramblings........

Many of you on here know that I am one of the radio voices for the TCA Iions on 105.3fm in Jackson.  It has just occured to me that myself and my broadcast partner, Diamond Dave McCulley, have 20 years combined experience calling TCA football on the radio.

 

When you look back at both of our careers, we have a combined 50 years experience calling high school and college athletic contests on the radio and tv.  I don't know if this means we are good or just old. 

 

Never the less, I am proud to call Dave McCulley my broadcast partner, and more importantly, my friend.  Here's to many more years working with you partner.

I wish that the school I support had the quality broadcast that you and Diamond Dave do each week. The guys we've had the last couple of years are not that good at all.  Y'all do a great job!

Stan and Dave I want to personally thank you both for your passion for the TCA Lions. Hearing y'all on the radio we can hear it in your voices that y'all are struggling and fighting for every yard that the team is fighting for. Thank you for your time and dedication to TCA football and basketball. GO LIONS!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words.  Dave does not do The T.  I called him up a while ago and read both of your comments to him.  We are both very touched by what you two had to say.  Thanks for your support.

ReitzFan....A thank you for the complement would have been nice. To bad Dave's not on here. I've known Dave since I was 16yrs old and trust me, that's a long time. Therefor, I know Dave would have at least said thank you. Good luck to TCA Friday, I'll be pulling for y'all.

I am sorry for being tardy.  I get USJ on the brain and those letters tend to short circuit my mind.  You and I have disagreed in years past some but we seem to have come to an agreement.  Hope you might look me up when we come to your house at the end of the season.  Thank you. I do appreciate any kind words someone says about my radio work.   SG

You're welcomed...I understand, USJ does me the same way. I do believe the Wife and I will be out of town the weak of JC and TCA. I don't make it over there much anymore for reasons I want get into on the T. I've actually been to more TCA games the last few years than JC. Don't get me wrong I want them to win and do good, I just wish the folks running JC felt the same.  way.
