Why would Alcoa not choose to play up when they are only challenged once a year?

It wasn't an issue until they played Alcoa.

If i'm not mistaken, they are a 2A school enrollment wise that is playing up in 3A.

I've seen 4 scrimmages, some practices, and 2 games thus far. Protecting the QB has only been an issue in the Alcoa game thus far. Otherwise, The Govs have had all day to throw.

After hearing you and Hammer talk about the GOV offense, I'm shocked they aren't putting up huge numbers. I was thinking this was the second coming of 2007.

 I was surprised a little as well. I still think the Govs have 3 really good skill position players for the 1st time since 07 or maybe 11. WB is a classic example of players suffering because of decisions made by adults.

Remember  when "everybody" said Maryville couldn't compete with the ORs and Farraguts if they moved up?  LOL

 

Maybe everyone should focus on getting better rather than saying its unfair for a 2A school to playing teams in a 3A region.

LC (a very weak 5A team ) was the other game. Who were the scrimmages against?
