Goodpasture traveling to Greenbrier for their first district game so far this year.  Looks like the Cougars may have a competitive team for the Bobcats this year.  

 

Any smack talk from the Bobcat fans out there?

Greenbrier is evenly matched with Goodpasture. Have watched both on film so this is a toss-up.

 

Goodpasture has yet to play a good team. BGA is way down so thats a hard one to judge.

 

I'm guessing its a close game unless the soph tailback can get loose.

BGA is not nearly as good as last year, but they are  young. Friendship is down also. To be honest the small school D2 is wide open around here. Davidson beats FCS but then gets hammered by Watertown.

Didnt say I did. However, I saw them in person last year and know what they lost, have talked to folks who scrimmaged them this year, and know a few parents there. That is where I formed my opinion. I stand by it. Doesnt mean the kids dont play hard or are a bad team, they just arent as good right now as they were this time last year.

 

FCS may or may not think BGA is down? Depends on what FCS thinks of their own team too. I would gather that the loss of Mike Jones affects the team wouldnt you?

FINAL Goodpasture 14 to Greenbrier 7

 

It was an ugly win for the Cougars, but a win none the less.   Day by Day...

 

Not sure I've ever watched a game that had this many penalty flags on the ground in this game. Goodpasture could have won this game by 4 TD's.  Goodpasture is noticeably getting better each week other than the penalties.

 

Go to FRA next week should be a battle.
