Stewie at Indy for first place in 5 - 5a

In light of Stewie's struggles to get an OT win at Antioch, I'll go with Indy by 42-14 setting up an eventual Stewie-Summit battle for 2nd place later in the season.

If Lavergne loses at Summit this week... well... let the speculation start.  This was supposed to be a big year for them.  What can be said for them if they finish the year with a 3-7 record?

Indy's without a doubt No.1 but Stewie might not want to overlook Shelbyville. They are picking up momentum and confidence.

Nobody can overlook anybody anymore.  Stewie probably learned that at Antioch.  Having better and more talent is not a guarantee when your QB is a 10th grader who can hardly throw a spiral... but apparently he can run that wing-t offense and that bodes well for the next couple of years that will still be rebuilding years most likely.

Indy is getting it done but final score not indicative of the game as SC had 3 RBs go over 100 yards against the Eagles and physically handled line of scrimmage most of the night. Two turnovers that lead to short scoring drives along with a kickoff return for a TD when the Creek had cut lead to 27-17 late in 3rd was big. Indy is definitely legit and the better team at this moment but the Red Hawks are continuing to get better and not too far off from being a very good team themselves. Huge turning point in game was right before half with Indy up 13-3 SC drives the field and ends up missing a short field goal after drive stalls on the 11 yard line. Then Hawks defense holds but the Creek fumbles first offense play on their own 18 yard line or so. And Indy punches it in in the final seconds before half to go up 20-3. Can't make those mistakes against a team that good.

Notre Dame Alum wasn't taking anything away from Indy I'd you read the post said they are a great team and the better team at this point. Point I was making was Stewarts Creek played hard and a couple of turnovers and a big kick return for a TD keep them from having a shot in the 4th to win it. I agree that all those are part of the game so no. Excuses here. Thanks for showing up to look like an arrogant you know what though.
