Mount Juliet vs Overton

This will be a tricky game for MJ. Both of these teams come in with a 4-2 record. Last year MJ won in a very close game and I predict much of the same this year. If MJ wants to have identity and remain a positive topic in 6a then they desperately need this win. Overton will field a very athletic squad will plenty of returners from last years squad. Who ya got?

I don't have a clue. I picked against MJ last week. Not because I dislike them, but what I saw in the jamboree lead me to believe they weren't very good at all. I'm still at a loss with this team. Are they better than I thought or did they play up for their rival? Still not sure, but I'm not picking against them.

Mt. Juliet is playing better and lost early to a Cane Ridge team that would beat most 6A schools and a down but still tough Ravenwood team.

 

I also think that Wilson Central was probably a bit overrated going into last week. I think 3 or 4 of the teams they have played this year are all 1-5 right now.

 

This should be a tough game that can go either way.

I'm just about on the same page, this week will tell me a lot about the identity MJ possesses. Can they consistently play with good competition? Well they took Cane Ridge down to the wire, struggled offensively versus a rebuilding Ravenwood team. However we've beat a pretty good Gallatin team and now Wilson Central. This is a confident Mount Juliet team, and honestly they can compete with a lot of top 6a teams playing this smash mouth football.

Quarterback has an offer from UT but I don't think he is being recruited for that position. Secondary I believe is what he is being recruited for.
