This is a big games for Whitehaven. Whitehaven is the favorite. However, Collierville is not to be over looked. This has TRAP GAME written all over it. The Haven needs to focus on this one. Time to clean up the penalties as well. We can't afford to overlook Collierville by looking at the Cordova game at the end of the season. We need to focus on the here and now. The coaches have done a good job in the past of keeping the team's focus on the opponent at hand. This is senior night as well. So, focus is of extreme importance. They are teenagers, and this is the seniors last hoorah ...so we don't want to rain on any parades either. I'm confident that the coaches will keep them even keeled while allowing them to enjoy the experience. Nobody wants to be Scroodge either.

You know those refs have a special love for G'town and Collierville, they try to Keep this game close every year and nothing will change. Speed kills, so we must use all our speed to break this open because If we take this battle to the trenches its gone be holding calls all nite

Senior Night should be enough motivation needed to keep this game at a comfortable margin for the Mighty Tigers...

It's getting close to playoff time bruh! Can't wait

It is obvious that you do not know how our coaching staff feels about the refs in general.  We never get calls.  I hope it is a close game.  We will be hard pressed not to get beat by 30....

Tell me it isn't so. Collierville? Your coaches don't think that they get calls? Well, I guess all coaches think that the refs have it in for them. I know the Whitehaven coaches and fan base have that lil' nugget runnin' around in our head.

I must say this however ... it's been my experience here recently that the tone will be set by the white hat. If the white hat is anal, then the hankies will fly. If the white hat is laid back, then the hankies will, for the most part, remain in the pockets.

Case in point, our HC got ejected from a game this year because the white hat was being a stickler for jersey's being tucked into the pants. He warned/threw flags against the team on three different occasions in the game. On the third penalty, the white hat told the HC that he was ejected from the game, per the rules. The HC was also required to miss the next game, which he did. (The players were told repeatedly about their jersey's during the game by the coaches, however the White Hat carried out his word on this matter ... the players realized their failure to comply resulted in their coach being ejected ... it was a hard lesson to learn, but learn it they did ... guess who is conscious about jersey's being tucked in during the game now? The players.) That was a first for me. I had never seen a white hat actually throw out a HC because of shirt tails. It happened. Some think he was being to harsh. Regardless, it is a rule. He was enforcing the rule, and he let them know he was serious about it by throwing penalty flags. They continued to not take him seriously apparently, so he threw the third penalty flag. Whether or not he was being nit-picky or not isn't the point, nor is it the lesson they learned. He is the authority figure on the field. He sets the standards of play. The coach can talk until he is blue in the face ... they learned how much authority he wields when he threw the third flag and had their HC ejected.

BOOM! ... think that didn't hit home? There are going to be others who think this or that about this. I actually think it was a wonderful lesson learned. No one thought that the White Hat would eject the HC over shirt tails. He did. Rules are rules. If the White Hat is telling you that he is taking shirt tails seriously ... take heed. It will serve as a reminder in life as they get older about rules, authority, and compliance ... even if you think the rule doesn't make sense. A rule is a rule, and if the authority figure in charge is going to enforce said rule ... comply.

So, excuse our coaches if they feel 'some kind of way' towards the refs and how the Whitehaven games get called. Don't get me wrong, our HC is classy and he is a good leader of men. He wasn't happy about the ejection, but he complied because he knew the rule, but more importantly, he realized he had young eyes on him and they would follow his lead. The players saw how he reacted. They saw him humble himself and comply without making a scene. They learned a big thing about being a MAN on how he handled that situation. The team kept its composure, tucked in their shirt tails, and dedicated the rest of the game to winning it like he would have wanted them to do. The team could have imploded, but they didn't. The OC and the DC handled things competently. However, the lesson learned can't be overlooked ... all because the White Hat was being anal about shirt tails.

All that being said, dude that did that is likely a real life a hole that doesn't deserve to ref another Whitehaven game ever.

He's not flying solo in Memphis. Remember the White Hat that umped the Whitehaven/Ridgeway game 3 years ago? He was 'special'.

Go back and look at the game when we came to you guys field last year...the first half alone we got more flags than most get in a whole game...I'm sure you're coaches do hate when flags are thrown against them. But when we play yall, they never have worries because we get them all!!!!! But don't worry the refs may not let yall get beat that bad...
