Oak Ridge (7-2 4-0) travels up to Campbell Co(8-1 3-1) in the final game of the season. Huge region and playoff positions are attached to this game.  Oak Ridge is coming off of a 24-21 loss to Webb and the Cougars are coming off of a bye week. This game is also the Rivalry Thursday TV game this week as well. Who takes the battle of the Cats & why?

If Oak Ridge is really in a downward spiral right now C.C. will win this game. I've seen them this year and I know one thing for dang sure is that C.C. wouldn't lose to McMinn County. I couldn't believe OR lost to Webb for the life of me.  I've had to watch the TV news replay from last night a dozen times to make sure I wasn't just dreaming it.

C.C. has a QB that reminds me of Tim Tebow so much. The young man is very big and he can run or throw. I enjoyed watching him when I saw them this year. They also have a good receiver and some big size linemen that are good. Glad this will be on TV this week.

Tebow? Lol When I watched them he didn't come over to me as being that mobile at all. If he is he sure didn't show it in the game I watched them against Farragut.

Running clock in the third, oak ridge having issues at the wrong time, and the fact No one has beat them except themselves, only way this is a game is if CC turns the ball over 6 times like they did against farragut..we win the battle up front and our defense is stingy..the RIDGE is overrated you can have all the athletes you want ,if you have no line ,you have nothing.

Ouch...Running clock in the 3rd? LOL Have we become that big of a joke to the opposition? Wow

No offense Hogg, but the defense I saw in the Farragut game didn't look too stingy to me. Against the run yes pretty good, but there were HUGE gaps and blown coverages in that secondary all game long. It's just a matter if we can protect our QB (big IF with them), but if we can we will have a lot of room to throw the ball with that secondary. Just a matter of protection.

    • The only thing that was said at half time of the 45-0 game was Coach Story, he said: "I know y'all have been out there a lot, but kick-off team, y'all need to get down there faster!" Then he and the other coaches proceeded to go into the coaches office and we all went nuts!  It was the only time I can ever remember coaches not saying anything at half time. Definitely a great memory!!!
    • Boyd could actually be a grade below what he is now, but his parents didn't see the need to "redshirt" him like the other city school down the road would have pushed for....

    • When Danny was a senior he was the quarterback on the 82 team and also the placeholder on extra points. At the end of the game Heritage scored a touchdown with very little time left and went ahead 9-0. On the following extra point Danny rose up and threw a perfect pass to one of his receivers which made it 11-0 and Heritage's first win against Maryville since the series started in 77. Maryville fans were highly ticked off because they felt like it was rubbing salt in the wound. The following year when both teams met again at Maryville  the Rebels ran away with the game and after the first couple of touchdowns they went for two points after each score for a pay back and the score was 45-0 at halftime. The following Monday Bob Gilbert the sports eiditor for the local paper bashed Maryville in an article called the Humilation of Teenagers and tore into Maryville even though he was a graduate of the school. Those were the good ole days when Heritage had decent teams and the rivalry between them and Maryville was a fun event to see.
