uknoit2
Somehow GCA and the dawgs could cross paths this year...maybe next time. If I'm looking at it right, I don't think we'll be competing this season...would have been nice to clash one last time

crow
I meant I'll watch them at some point in playoffs. Friday we play cumberland gap If I didn't have a freshman that'd be on the field Friday, I'd be at Grace Land You'd pick GCA / AE over Coalfield at Oneida? You sir are twisted lol. Spartan4Life
I have a hard time seeing any 2A beating a team that beat Fulton. Am I missing something here? Will AE not be the best team Grace has played this year? Or would you consider Webb, CAK, or Campbell County better? I'm interested in how a Grace fan would rank their toughest opponents this year. If you see the above teams as better than AE then I guess this could be closer. From the outside looking in its hard to pick a 2A team over a team that beat Fulton. orngnblk
Not offended by your prediction Gunner. Re-read that one. I think you will be able to see thru it and see that 1 game I'd love to see is a game against SN at some point. I've never liked having a team beat us and not return the favor. That's what I was getting at. OnB, you could be correct. We would've played each other last yr and this yr if Hicks hadnt pulled the plug on an agreed home/home. Hope your buddies can get with that McKamey man and get something in ink for '17/18 I could be correct???That's all I get??I expected more! catcher55
I have seen both these teams play in person. Both are good, AE is much more athletic but I think if you hit them hard that makes a difference. GCA is a well coached team and usually would get the edge because of that. But what I noticed about AE this year is they are much more disciplined than last year and seems they have a little fire in them. If GCA can't run the ball right at them they will have a very difficult time. Getting out on the edge will not help GCA. Friday against the Bears they had success in the passing game with rub routes and the young Bear secondary couldn't figure it out. This could be one heck of a game. AE needs to prove they are the 2A team this year and this could be a huge step to prove that. GCA wants to go out their last year in DI as district champs this has the making of a special game. If GCA comes out and pounds the ball, keeps it away from AE they have a shot. Is AE gets on the edge or open in space GCA is in for a long night....Wish I could be there but the Bears are playing RW at home and we always play them well there plus the Pork Palace is calling my name!!! I've not seen AE play this year, but I've heard plenty between what they did last year and what they've done this year. I may be mistaken, but I believe they caught Fulton while they were dealing with some injuries. That doesn't take anything away from any win against Fulton, though. From the couple of games I've seen GCA play this year, your comments about GCA being able to run the ball are concerning. I've not seen much consistent success with the run like I remember in past years. GCA seems to be relying more on the passing game than I remember, particularly the big plays. Should be a good final Division I district game at GCA on Friday night.
