Out of state games do not go toward strength of schedule.

 

Forfeits are not counted as games at all. Spreads are tabulated from complete games, a forfeit has no value at all sense no football was played.

 

Trezevant has not been impressive all season, anyone can agree with that, therefore their ranking is less than their actual strength. If teams don't play their hardest every game then the ranking will naturally be thrown off, these are strictly based on performance throughout the course of the whole season. Trezevant is better than their ranking because they haven't been playing their hardest until recently.

This pole is a bunch of mess. I garuntee you Grider beat that Mathis man and he is still ranked above him on this pole. They is five teams out of they playoffs that is above that White mans team. I garuntee you Meigs county isnt the fourth best team. You are full of mess. You think im joking but im not.

I would like to know what game they didn't play their hardest in. If this is 2a ranking how can you have all those other teams in front of them. We will prove this poll wrong also. I guess when they make it to Cookeville you will rank them 6th maybe

I don't know whether or not his analysis takes into account any out of state games or has any built in return value for them. If one took into account out of state games one would have to have analysis for most every high school team in the nation.

I'd agree here, honestly playing an out of state team is tough but how does their leagues match up with Tennessee teams? If you look at college Tennessee is better than Mississippi, but Alabama teams would be better than Tennessee. Going to high school what are you comparing against and how are you comparing (different regional sets and so forth) playing out of state can be win or lose. It sounds more competitive but then again there's no long term proof honestly

I agree with willie Trez should be ranked higher being last yrs 2a champs and being in the Semifinals this yr. But ranked higher than those waverly boys Im not so sure about that.

This is just on field performance from this season. How many games has Trezevant lost? Better yet, who did they beat in the state of any significance this year? If you look at their schedule then this past week's 8 point win over Mitchell was the first quality win they have (yes I know Desoto, but I don't track MS and an out of state game is basically a win over the average team in the state for ranking purposes). How many games has Richardson and their other best players played a full game, at full speed all season? If you think that Trez has given a true representation of what they can really do on the field this year then you guys haven't been paying attention. I am agreeing with you all that they are much better than they have led on and you are still upset. These numbers are a true representation of what they have done this year, that is all I can go off of, there are no feelings or bias in the equation; just the performance and outcomes of the games.

True, I didn't use the best wording there. I wasn't trying to imply that the kids weren't playing hard. I was simply trying to state that they haven't put their best product on the field all season.

This pole isnt near as good as Murphys pole. Murphys pole is much more accurate. You should read Murphys book to make your pole better. You think im joking but im not.

True, I didn't use the best wording there. I wasn't trying to imply that the kids weren't playing hard. I was simply trying to state that they haven't put their best product on the field all season.

Laz i think your doing a great job in what you have to work with. No way you can make every game to see each teams performance.  if you got on here and went with what would make the majority happy i would say it would be this! 1. A.E.  2. Trez  3. MC  4. Waverly.    BUT! this is the playoffs and anything can happen.  i dont think anyone expected anyone else but Adamsville vs. Trez in the semis in the west but Adam got knocked off by #4 seed Scotts Hill. if your not from Waverly your pretty sure Trez will knock us off! They may! BUT! this is the playoffs.  anyway your doing a great job Laz

These numbers cant really be a true representation if you aren't taking into account the out of state games. Just say this is the best representation of numbers you could come up with. This seems like the rpi where you can make the numbers look good. Don't see that many schools being better than Trezevant.
