coaching malpractice part three (see 5A post).  You CANNOT run the wing-T at the 6A level and win championships, especially with all the horses Oakland has doing nothing more than occuping spaces in time.  Why so mamy two way players Oakland?  use your depth.  Creasy whines at the officials more than he coaches his players.  Saulsberry flat outcoached Creasy.  Congrats to Whitehaven for making adjustments and playing for 48 minutes.  Classy folks on that Whitehaven sideline

I was impressed with the coaching of either one to be honest. Both have great athletes but both ran middle school schemes. I guess when you have athletes like they do all you have to do is put them on the field with 2-3 plays and say here you go. All you hear is about these great coaches. Well I think we should hear about these great athletes that just about every school there had. Like I have said before it is the players not the X's and O's that win games. Once equal athletes meet up then you can see the coaching malpractice

I personally think Oakland went through what Maryville did last year thinking the real championship game was in the quarter finals and let their guard down some at Murfreesboro and learned a hard lesson from it. very few people gave Ravenwood or Whitehaven any chance at all.  From the very start this year someone jumped the gun and started the Oakland and Maryville thread only to have three different threads going at the same time by game week but you never saw a thread regarding Oakland and Whitehaven until the week of the game.

I USED TO THINK THAT 2WAY PLAYERS DON'T LAST 4 QTRS UNTIL I SAW ONE KID BRING IT ON BOTH SIDES AND WAS THE BEST PLAYER ON THE FIELD. IT DEPENDS ON WHO IT IS AND WHAT KIND OF HEART AND SOUL AND RESILIENCY AND DETERMINATION HE HAS AND THAT WILL RUB OFF ON THE PLAYERS AROUND HIM.IM TALKING ABOUT THAT STUD FROM FARAGUT #1 WHO PLAYED LINEBACKER/RUNNING BACK. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED.

4,7,21,28&99 barely left the field last night. Da Haven took advantage and took home the gold ball. Your primary running back playing lb all night. Bad coaching.

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
