cobrakid8
Yeah that one part of the quad is brutal for sure in 120 there are some straight tough weight classes this year as with every year
bonesaw
Don't forget about Walling at 95, he stuck Carney at Regions and would have for sure medaled last year had he not been injured. He's a very strong kid and should make 95 even more exciting.

MemphisTiger14
At 138 we've wrestled Ingram and Pendley (4 times) and Pendley appears to be the better wrestler there. He has a straight shot to the finals and is my pick at that weight. Ingram will most likely have to get through the winner of Story/Wilkins. He beat Story at Independence this season. At 170 Smith from Beech actually lost to Smith from WC. I was surprised by that outcome myself but, like you, could see Kyle Smith (Beech) fighting his way back to avenge that loss and winning the entire thing. At 195, I like your bold pick. I'm not sure if that was just by looking at the rankings or if you've analyzed that bracket, but he will have a tough road to get to the finals having to beat two returning state medalists: Carney and Spangler. But that kid is good! Just some thoughts. I think 138 is the only one I would have different. Regarding 138, I feel like the finals will be Pendley v. Wilkins. Honestly, Ingram will have a tough time getting past Phillips in the quarters. The two wrestled a close one in the state duals. Ingram won by 1 point, but Phillips got in deep on a shot and had him broken to his hip when the clock expired. As far as 195 goes, Johnson is an absolute stud. He can hang with the best of them, but his gas tank is suspect. I've seen him take injury time on numerous occasions just to catch his breath... I still think he will end up on the podium, but his conditioning will cost him tight matches against quality kids. Other than those two, I believe that Cockman (Bartlett) at 145, Cannon (Arlington) at 113, Moore (Arlington) at 182, and Metcalf (Arlington) at 285 all have good chances at making the podium. There's a West TN perspective for y'all. Now I'll go back to observing

Kramer is very good don't get me wrong but he isn't beating nick just yet.
memphiswrestling171
I have a strong feeling that 195 Johnson will not place or place 5th or 6th. He can hardly go 6 minutes. 145 cockman will finish top 6 and 113 cannon will be back as a placer as well
