Spring Hill Normally has athletes but really can't compete with teams that also have athletes.

Mavericks return most starters from last year.  Their quarterback may be one of the most dynamic players the Mavericks have had.   They have played an unreal schedule the last two years, with Greeneville, Oak Ridge, Fulton, Central and Catholic.  They are battle tested, and have had to grow up quick.  QB had his jaw broke last season and didn't finish, but he is back looks like he has gained 20 pounds and has a cannon for an arm. Three big RBs, a stable of receivers who have all played a ton.  The defense is big up front, linebackers and secondary all return.     All the pieces are in place for Coach Gillum to put this team in the playoffs.  This team has potential to be a great one, only time will tell.  Excitement is building in Maverickland for a special season.

I saw them a couple times last year and they were awful ... they gave up 55, 42,48,43,55,49 and 56 points to 7 of their opponents .. so 7 out of 10 games their defense was awful ... they will have abetter record cause they wont play Greeneville, Central , Fulton and couple more that were beating them pretty handily but since they are playing a bunch of nobodys from Chattanooga this year ..look for them to make playoffs but not advance far ..

Marshall County put a big ole whooping on 6A Laverne 34-0 in last weeks scrimmage. MC lost all lot of athletes but will still be strong again this year.

This is Great News. I did see some spring footage and actually they looked assume. I would think they would go deep in playoffs.
