I think whichever team between the ones playing has the better record hosts, but I'm not 100% certain on that.

Where will these games be played? I know that the higher seeds host the quarterfinals on Saturday night. How does it work for the semifinals and finals?

Correct, the higher seed will host the quarter final games on Saturday.  Next week, the semis and finals will be played at Oak Ridge on Tuesday and Thursday.  At least that is what I was told.

Ok. I think I have figured out how it works. For the semifinals and finals, the host is determined by the highest remaining seed in one of the districts. Odd numbered years go to District 3. Even numbered years to District 4. If Oak Ridge wins against West, then it will be at Oak Ridge. If they were to lose and Powell were to win, then the remaining games would be at Powell. In the case (like last year) when all teams from a district lose, then the tournament is hosted at the other district's champion.

The tournament would have been at Heritage or a District 4 team last year, but District 3 swept and thus it was at Oak Ridge.

Someone please correct me if this is incorrect.

I believe you are correct- I think the highest seeded District 3 team that wins first round region game will host semifinals and finals. District 4 was skipped last year because they were swept in first round games.

I'm sure. Bearden, Maryville, Karns, and Powell, and a few others are all good teams.

Should be some really good games.  I don't think West will really compete with OR for 4 quarters but it could be exciting, fast paced basketball for about a half.  Bearden should handle Clinton ok at home, but like you said district 4 was swept last year.  But the HV-Powell and Maryville-Karns games have a chance to be really good.

fast paced would be good. Love it when a team tries to run with the Cats.

    • This late in the year, you’d have to think they’d go with an Asst. on staff, right? I’m pretty new to the area so still learning how folks do things around here…if Woods stays there to teach, it could be hard on a new guy/staff coming in…
    • Well, your Big Western Hunt better turn up some Zebras to come graze on the Stones to make the jungle gametime ready again and make sure the plumber bros. still will come service the facilities at the Mecca. I hope your weekend is Fowl. Tell Rip hello from the Five Oh. Maybe the Gravedigger will catch a ride with Alphaniner on a flyover soon to BNA.
    • It’s not hearsay, just patently false. As one of those young coaches he apparently “ran off”, coach never once ridiculed or degraded anyone. Sure he challenged kids and coached them very hard,  but we have different definitions of you call that degrading. Coach Hammontree changed my life when he gave me the chance to work for him. I learned more about being a man and caring for the people around me in 4 years working for him than I did in 20 years of my life. No one sacrificed more than he did. I left Heritage because I felt there would never be the support necessary to help the program succeed. I’m tired of hearing people drag others down especially those they truly don’t know. Coach has moved on and a new coach is there. Just let the man live and root for the team.
    • Waiting on the Great One.   White Horse and Rip have a big weekend in the woods, and the Sheriff is working the overtime here.      Turkey season awaits…..Big Gobblers everywhere.
    • He won first at maryville so he did something right
