Well you run off another good coach who cares about the program and winning.  Get all the parents together and let them hire someone who will do what all the parents want and play who the parents want to play.  Time to stand up for what is right and let coaches coach or do away with the athletic program and have class tournaments for all sports.

Grundy County will be hiring a new coach. Probably been 2011 since they had a very good record. Hope they hire someone that can bring stability to the program.

Why did they fire this coach? Since he wasn't from Grundy, he didn't have much of a chance to make it anyway.

From what he told me, he resigned and was not fired. He had dealt with drama all year from some parents whose kids were not good enough to either dress on the varsity team or to take minutes from younger players. It had gotten so bad that apparently he and his family was threatened twice by 2 different sets of parents and that the board there did nothing but encourage the drama. They even went as far as accusing him of stealing money to try and get rid of him after numerous other lies were found to be just that lies. That is a tough spot. I have met some of the kids that he had and they seem like good kids and he loves some of them to death, but there are a few that kids/parents and board members that need to leave before that job would even be worth looking at. Not a good situation for anyone not from there and would not recommend anyone applying for it. Not worth the headache.

He sure is. A very high character guy that cares about his kids and wants whats best for them and the program. He was way ahead of the old boys coach that just quit when he screwed up back right before school started in the character column. Very respected by both fellow coaches and officials.
