Monterey isn't a bad team as they beat Watertown twice and played Clay close at home. However it's pretty clear outside of Goodpasture 8A is very weak.

Watertown beat Goodpasture in the district finals...my guess is Bradshaw got outcoached. Really doesn't matter because nobody beats Clay Co.

I'm not surprised Monterey has good size, Watertown lives and dies by pushing the tempo and shooting well, I wasnt there but Monterey I'm sure slowed the game down and force fed the post.

Coach Bradshaw is a class act and doesn't deserve this kind of attack from someone who hides behind a fictitious name on a high school website.  If you coach long enough you're going to have a game like this and you're going to have some good wins as well.  Watertown is lucky to have this guy as a coach, unlucky to have morons like you as a fan.

Sports fan . Don't know the coach but good for you defending him . Best coaches in the country get attacked all the time over time they get that thick skin . It's part of the job .,always going to have those few who like to attack people . Most parents always think they know better than the coaches . All they see are the games . Not their everyday watching practices and everything else that goes on . Yes coaches get out coached all the time but those same coaches outcoach the same coaches down the road . Bottom line their will always be coaches their will always be attackers and always be defenders . We got all that in one thread pretty good .

Now how does goodpasture beat clay co. Won't be easy stopping the scoring machine . Goodpasture has one kid that can match up with him . Actually coached him his 7th and 8th grade years . Great kid very unselfish actually to unselfish . Knowing the coach he probably run a gimmick defense it worked against the big kid for whites creek for a half . I believe just man up and just give help when he gets the ball . Offense they just need to push the ball and hope they get hot from 3 . Most likely their only chance . Wish I was there . Nobody carries the game do they .?

I would assume someone might carry the game on the radio. Once I get there I will check and see but I believe it was covered last year by someone but maybe I am mistaken. However I would have to disagree about someone matching Key from GP.

 

If they don't double or even triple team him it's going to be hard not getting in foul trouble especially if it's officiated tight because it's going to be impossible not hand checking him on the dribble. He is one of the quickest first steps I have ever seen.

 

I do think it's going to be a close game. I will take Clay by 6 just because if anyone else is on it will be a scoring machine like it was against Trousdale when Smith and Russell had 18/15 to go with Key's 38.

Great post and it should be a great game.  GP is long and they play hard.  They are definitely bigger than Clay Co. and I like the way GP's post players get on the block and post up and really crash the boards.  They have a really solid point guard and some good shooters so they will be a tough match up for Clay.  Now having said that I personally didn't see anyone that could guard Key but they played us zone the entire night so maybe he's saving him for tonight.  As for the game yes you can listen to it online at wlivradio.com and it will pull up their website then scroll down and click on "listen to live sports" game starts at 6!

Let me correct myself on Key I was thinking of another player . Thinking he was a big white guy didn't realize he was a point guard . That changes everything , GP does not have anyone that can play man on him ., well coach will have some junk defense for him I guess ., Me personally I X him from this game . He doesn't tiouch the ball and if then he is doubled immediately., someone else is beating me . Try to keep him under 15 and have a chance to win .
