Levy scored, but the difference in the game to me was Maynard, yes she shot 3-11 from three, but those threes swung the momentum of the game. And SS got out-rebounded and had 2 stretches of 3 minutes in the 3rd and 4th quarters where they didn't score. Can't do that against a team like Upperman. But great year for the Lady Hawks, and I expect them to be back next year with Miller, Transou, Taylor and Trice coming back.

South Side pressed very little and that is their game. Creating TO's and scoring transition points. Congrats to Upperman though. Good win.

Levy took the game over, I think the defining moment was in the 4th quarter when she broke the ankles on two of SS players and shot a layup.  That seemed to have deflated them somewhat.  Thought Upperman was the better all around team, but SS has nothing to be ashamed of.  They have a good squad and i like their inside post player she really wants to ball and can finish when she gets it!

I don't think South Side's lack of pressing was the difference in the game. The biggest issue was getting killed on the boards and the scoreless drought in the 4th quarter. Also, Levy stepped up and did enough to get the win. South Side competed with my pick to be state champions, Upperman. They have nothing to be ashamed of and have something to build off of for the years to come. South Side should be back in the years to come...

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
