Harriman plays Mitchell in round one of the Class A State Tournament

I'm taking Harriman and the unorthodox style of playground basketball.If any team can matchup with Mitchell I believe it is the Bluedevils.Fast,athletic and can run all night.HHS doesn't play a half court style game but their transition game is outstanding!This is going to be interesting to say the least.Let Mitchell underestimate them and it could get fun!I don't like Harriman very much from some past situations but I'm pulling for the Blue in this one.

It's going to be tough. Mitchell won't beat theirselves; I feel it will be close. I will take Mitchell by 3-6 with Harriman having a chance to tie. They just got to make the shot and in OT anything could happen.

It's a lot more fun to get a first round win, then play a Mitchell team....BUT Mitchell can be a Lil dry in the first round giving you a good shot at a W...If Mitchell makes 2nd round, the band and dancers will show up and they step up to a totally different level.

MTCA was neck and neck with them first round last year up until the last few minutes.

Goodpasture had em three years ago in 1st round and couldn't sink the free throws

But when they get to round 2, they're a different animal

This is the year to beat Mitchell. I've seen them play this year and the last three and I assure you this is the year to get them. They are still really good but not at the same level. They will beat you with defense and discipline. Thy are very well coached. They do not have an offensive star like the past but they just make it so hard for you to score.

Those dang '14 and '15 year MM teams were nightmares and last year's version was pretty darn good...This year is the year to get em...But it will take a team with superb ball handlers

Wholeheartedly agree with you. Humboldt has the ballhandlers. They actually have multiple ballhandlers. I've said for years you must have 3 really good ballhandlers to beat Mitchell or Booker T. My opinion still stands except that Humboldt will be there in Booker T's spot. Humboldt has a 6'5" Soph that can absolutely jump out of the gym. In the regional semis he had 10 points on 5 dunks! Humboldt has an outstanding Head coach and a great coaching staff. By the way UKnoit, I know you will appreciate this information based on past threads.......the coaches are strong Believers at the Boldt! They are sharing the Gospel and making a difference with those kids!

It should be a dandy tournament...Just wish I had one playing again this year. Hopefully back there the next 3..maybe more since I have two more coming up LOL!
