Guys as sad as it is he is right . Not our place to judge him . God is only judge and jury that matters . Also sad their are people their are people that died for you "nebuntyn" so you have what you have . Sad people that live hear just don't understand how lucky they are . Go to Haiti or any third world country and live for a year . Come back and tell me what you think . Pick where you wanna live then . I get so mad at the kids I coach every day for things they do off the court but parents allow it and only certain things I can stop we have rules and guidelines to follow ., They know respect might need to put this in theirs rules something a lot take for granted and never expect it would happen on our team . Now you never know after everything you see on tv . One more thing for stunts all these people pull . more bad then good come from them . People get hurt hospitalized and even die at these rally's or protests . I am so glad I have someone watching over me that loves me for me and always will lead me in the direction he has for my life . God and prayer are so powerful I know first hand I am a living miracle . I just wish everybody could just find peace in this world and examine themselves and when you find no faults in yourselves then and only then go find faults with others . I apologize for anybody that I have talked down or ridiculed on here cause it was wrong of me . God bless you all and most of all our children .

Not my intent to judge anyone.

One's words and deeds judges them.

I just feel blessed to live in a county where I can choose the career I want, choose the car I drive, choose the color of clothes I wear, choose what I eat, can get medical attention weather I have insurance or not and on and on and on.

I'm likely done on this thread and not set out to argue...I done my fair share of that on the Clinton vs Trump thread when I blistered that godless, devil's emp, aka Hillary :D

that is YOUR opinion....you can't force your beliefs on someone else, that's part of the problem. I've traveled over seas, but I have not been everywhere. When you say something is the best and you have not been nor experienced all places......that's an ignorant statement. We have freedom of speech, but shut up when it comes to the flag. That makes sense. I haven't stood up for the anthem since 2000 and I'm not going to start now.

Ignorance is the absence of knowledge or proof. My opinion is proven by the masses...more people from more nations worldwide have emigrated to the good ol' USA than any other country in the long history of the world multiple times over, and the reason for that is to make a better life here for themselves than would be possible anyplace else. We have freedom of speech because our Constitution decrees that it's our God given right, and shall not be infringed upon. See why I love this place? The flag is the very symbol of the document that allows you and I to voice our opinions without censure, persecution, or prosecution, so it seems ironic that you would turn your back on it in order to show your displeasure with some isolated issues. Whether you believe it or not, I have no desire to force my beliefs upon anyone as long as I have my own freedoms...what saddens me is that the lack of respect for your own rights and the nation that protects them is what drives your actions toward Old Glory. Come to think of it...to exercise your freedom of expression by disrespecting the symbol of the entity that guarantees you to have it seems ignorant to me.

its sad that you would try to force your beliefs on someone else.

MY BELIEFS???Tell that face to face to one of our military families that have lost a loved one fighting for your rights and freedom of speech. These are not just my beliefs.I stand behind our military and our country and I give it the respect it and THEY deserve.

If they're fighting for our freedoms as y'all say then wouldn't one of those freedoms be for someone like nebutyn to sit on his butt during the national anthem, or is that freedom excluded? Guys, you can't pick and choose what freedoms we should be able to enjoy and not enjoy, that isn't really freedom now is it? Either preach about freedom and support all it entails, or just shut up entirely about freedom, because in most people's cases it's all about picking and choosing what freedoms we can enjoy, but if the said freedom offends said person they don't want people to be able to enjoy it (like sitting for the anthem, burning the flag etc). On another note it's very questionable in most all of the wars we fight if we're even actually defending our freedoms anyway. Going three thousand miles away from the US and bombing the shi# out of countries back to the stone age isn't what I'd really call "defending freedom", but that's just me. Technically, if we were defending our freedoms we would be defending our homeland from a foreign army, which is never the case when we go to wars. Mostly, they are about collective ego's, money, and extending the American Empire around the world, and resources in the Middle East. We play the bully a lot (most always) of the time. And this is coming from an Iraqi Freedom veteran just so you know.

As God is my witness, I would have hollered something just as the song was ending...I know that those of you who know me would find that hard to believe, but I would've!

As many redneck veterans as we have in these parts, it would be bad for a stunt to be pulled like that here

If I was standing beside someone sitting and they weren't disabled, Id offer them an escort to the door!

Kids don't know it cause the libs have convinced the masses that good is evil and evil is good...Constitution, USA, Old Glory, Law...all evil now

Regardless if you agree with someone sitting during the National Anthem, there is nothing that you can do about it. Put your hands on them and it's assault. I am not saying that I agree with them sitting, but it is their right to do so.

So, if a person goes and feeds the homeless, is a loving person to pretty much every person they come into contact with, promotes peace, sends money to homeless shelters, forgives even their most vehement enemies, sends money to refugees throughout the world, they are a piece of sh&^ in your eyes if they choose to not stand for the national anthem? Something the very soldiers fought for them to be able to do? Look, I am proud to be from America and I think we are all blessed to be able to live here, but not everyone sees things the same way you or anybody else for that matter does. I consider myself a follower of Christ, and if anything he subverted the nationalistic tendencies the ancient Israelites had for Israel in the time that he lived. In my opinion as a follower of this man Jesus it's my opinion that their is a lot of nationalistic fervor in the United States, and frankly it comes very close to if not equating all out idolatry. While I do appreciate a lot of the sacrifices our troops do make (I was one at one time) I think we come to the point of idolizing them and the flag and anthem to a point. Frankly, the United States is no more special then any other country in this world is. Yes, we have prospered for a lot of years, but the Roman Empire did as well and in its history it was mostly based upon Pagan idolatry. I think a lot of people go wrong when they equate God with America, because that gives the attitude to me that we are justified in anything we do when simply we aren't. We have done a lot of good in this world, but also a lot of bad and continue to do both. I know this won't be a popular post by any means and I'm fully aware of the pushback I'm sure I will get, but I have never been accused of following the crowd, but neither did the God/Man I worship.

you are well rounded and not POLITICALLY CORRECT, I appreciate and respect that. You can disagree with someone and respect them at the same time.

    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
