Haynes-Overton has a gold ball as well and had a better season statically than the Miss Basketball, not totally understanding your logic Crow.

statistically, this years head to head match up who had better statistics? I see two great high school talented players each with strengths and weaknesses comparing each game's, I see Overton more of a two guard role and Levy a true point guard so hard to compare the two on a recruiting college level and what college team needs are.

Western Kentucky could be a lot of high major programs... also, Akira turned down multiple BCS offers to go to Western... don't ask me why, it's just a fact to the situation.

Akira is a top 60 player in the country in multiple services...

BCS is defiantly football. Power Conferences is more appropriate for basketball. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have these big offers everyone is talking about. Don't know to many kids that turn down offers from big time schools to attend mid-majors.

She's a GREAT player, better than WKU in my opinion.

Based on the information that was giving during the Miss Basketball presentation it was based "regular season" stats. Levy dominated the tournament without a doubt!

I agree with you on the position part!

BCS... Power 5... it makes no difference... I KNOW what offers Akira had. Yes, she did have offers from "power 5" schools. Western Kentucky got a complete steal in Akira, and you better believe Michelle Clark-Heard was excited when she got the call from Akira.

ESPN has Akira graded out at a 92 and 4-star player and number 55 in the country. Akira DID HAVE power 5 offers, take my word on it.

I'm talking about Hayes (no N in there) from Riverdale. She signed with Tennessee. Regardless of Holly letting the program slip, they're still viewed as an elite program. Thousands don't show up to watch women's college basketball at every home game everywhere. They do in Knoxville. Pat built it. Holly is having a difficult time maintaining it. Hayes is better than Levy.

Now, Haynes-Overton (with a N) plays at East Nashville. She's a ridiculous athlete, super quick and leaps well. If she had size, she'd have gone to a power-five school. But she doesn't.

Some of you are getting Hayes and Haynes-Overton confused. Nobody in the state is as good as Hayes right now. Levy and Haynes-Overton are both quality players too though.

Thank you for pointing out the "elephant in the room.'" I was struggling to follow this thread because we kept switching back and forth between hayes and Haynes-Overton. As for WKU, remember Jayce Coe from Jackson County? Straight up Baller! She went to Kentucky then transferred to WKU after one semester. As I stated on another thread, for girls, it is different. They aren't ego maniacal morons like us guys who consider anything less than a football bcs powerhouse school as a failure.

    • Yes. I have seen that cause problems. In my last coaching stop, if a coach resigned they got them into another building. Sometimes the very next day. Welcome.
    • Agree. The man literally sacrificed time, moments, memories you can't get back with his own family for every single athlete at that school. (and many others) To those that continue to be negative about him and continue to bring him up; He's been loyal, hardworking and just his entire coaching career. Ask anyone that actually has a leg to stand on in regard to Coach.
    • Egotistical? That's a new one.  It's funny, I'm friends with two of the younger coaches that he "ran off" as you say. In fact, he helped them find jobs, encouraged them to do what was best for their growing families, provided advice, support and still does to this day.

    • Track has always been big at OR. Ran off about 7 straight titles in the 60s. Your hate for Gaddis runs deep, huh? What did he ever do to you, to make you disdain him that much? You can’t seem to stop talking about the guy. He’s living rent free in your head. Might wanna get that checked out, you don’t wanna go to the grave with that on your heart.
