Coach Odom will be missed. She was always a coach with a high character and her teams represented her well. As an opponent of her, we always respected what she stood for. Best of luck in whatever her future endeavors may be.

The Tennessean stated she resigned, not retired, but I guess we'll get to the bottom of it.

 

I appreciate her service at CHS. And yes, she was a "good" coach I guess. Had some good seasons. One state tournament appearance in 25 years at Cookeville though. One. And lost in the first round.

 

This will be a huge hire for Principal Ward.

 

4th largest school in Tennessee, in the heart of the hotbed of girls basketball that is the Upper Cumberland, with all the resources available, Cookeville girls should be an absolute juggernaut.

 

I do wish Coach Odom the best.

Come on, man.  Coach Odom retired of her own doing.  There was no forcing out or anything else so don't try and act like something else might have been at play. 

 

She was absolutely a good coach. She actually went to 2 state tournaments with Cookeville and was the state coach of the year in 99.

White Co fan all the way, hate Cookeville . Will miss Odom . Great defense coach . Her offense was to slow for me . Happy retirement from a White Co fan . Miss you at the games .
