Any information as to what is going on or where is he going? Next season both football and wrestling will have new assistant coaches on the sidelines. Chris Brown will be an assistant football coach while Jeff Price will be assisting the wrestling team. Both Brown and Price bring a wealth of experience with them. CHS Principal Autumn O’Bryan said, “Cleveland High School aims to bring in quality coaches who are also outstanding teachers.†Coach Price and Coach Brown both meet this expectation. They come to us with a wealth of experience and knowledge. We are excited to see their impact as Blue Raiders. “ Jeff Price comes to the CHS wrestling program from Johnson City where he was with the Science Hill High School and Liberty Bell Middle School wrestling programs. He has been a part of numerous teams that made state appearances. Price was awarded the Teacher of the Year in 2016 for Johnson City Schools; he has also been the English Department Chair since 2013. He has been awarded the TACA coach of the year three times and was a member of the first wrestling team at Carson Newman College. Jeff Price is a Nationally Board Certified teacher who will be teaching our English I classes next fall. Coach Josh Boskin stated, “We are extremely excited for Coach Jeff Price to join our coaching staff. Being a veteran in the coaching world, Price is going to bring a lot of passion, advice and knowledge to our program. Price will assist in many ways, but we are most excited for his excitement and commitment in the athletes’ educational success. Coach Price will look great in Blue!†According to CHS Athletic Director David Turner, “We are extremely excited to welcome Coach Brown and Coach Price to Cleveland High School. Their commitment to excellence in academics and athletics is a tremendous combination that will propel our student athletes to a higher level.
