It looks like the story was updated to correct the omission. I stand by what I said as far as only counting Tennessee guys. One of the wrestlers included clearly wrestled for the state of Georgia with a GA next to his listing in the bracket. I’m curious, does Georgia get to claim him as an All-American too? Which cadet dual team will he be on?

So we are counting non-Tennessee guys as representing Tennessee and omitting the highest finishing Tennessee guy that wrested in the senior division? Do better.

Joey Terry from FR beat your #1 Mason Alley from Baylor 10-6 and was never challenged. Seems like very little effort was put into these rankings.

I think you misunderstand a big part of why people have a problem with this. If you are trying to put together a true team Tennessee, then it should be a true team Tennessee. The wrestleoff idea was a great idea and fair but not feasible. If you want the best that you can get in TN you go through the results and reach out to coaches and wrestlers. They will come. I can remember about 15 to 20 yrs ago coach Henry put an incredible team together of the best wrestlers in TN and I’m pretty sure they walked through the best of PA, MI, IL and OH down at camp Jordan. I know for a fact that he didn’t put any preference on his own kids because it was a who’s who of TN wrestling. Keller, Ward, Blackmon, Yost, Simpson’s, Dunning’s, K James, Cordell, D McKnight, Q Gibson, hvy from Greeneville, etc. I watched that team and it was incredible. It was put together by inviting the best kids that would come....no preferences. Kids love to be a part of things like this. This thing turned into a mess from the get go.

he does a great job with DI, but he does DII wrestlers a disservice by not getting any kids in the correct weights. (Many kids have been at the same weight all year). Im not complaining. Just stating a fact and requesting that he not do DII rankings.

Hamm, please don't publish anymore DII rankings. They are incredibly inaccurate.

The way I understand it Ryan and Bradley have worked out together before both state meets for a couple of years. The fellowship and camaraderie that you saw on Saturday night was probably a result of working out together and helping each other get ready for the big weekend. Both of these teams were underdogs going into the weekend and pulled it off.

I don't care who is on it but will celebrate the honorees whenever it is released. I wouldn't do the winners the disservice by releasing the information early.
