It is 90% funded and this is the 12 year. Only one team and over the past 12 years there has been 47 scholarships secured for young ladies to such institutions as ETSU, UMass, Georgia Southern, Virginia Tech, Miss St, Western Carolina, Radford, USC UpState, Campbell, Tusculum, Mars Hill, Findlay, UVA Wise, Virginia Intermont just to name a few..... Nautilus Express Girls Travel Team Tryouts will be held March 4th at Virginia Intermont College at 4:30PM. This is open to all 9-11 grade girls that have to desire to play at the next level. We have help secure overthe past 10 years 35 scholarships and close to 20 D1 to such schools as VA Tech, Miss State, Radford, Western Carolina, USC UpState, Campbell, Georgia Southern, ETSU, UMass, Columba to name a few. Nautilus Express AAU are having open tryouts for all 9th,10th and 11th grade girls that are interested in playing at the next level. There is no fee for this team. Team is 95% funded. Last year had 8 Jr girls and all got full rides. 4 D1 and 4 D2. This is a highly competitive team that there main goal is to help young ladies reach there dream of playing at the next level. Congrats to all 8 Sr that played on the Nautilus Express Travel team this past year. All 8, through there dedication and drive, received Full Rides to play basketball and continue there education at the next level. This is what it is all about is helping and seeing these young ladies reach there dreams and goals and seeing them become wonderfull young ladies!!! you are so right. Year round activities are not for everybody and burn out can be a case of changing intrest. Some young ladies want the scholorship and some just want to play for the fun of it and both are good reasons to play. But if you are that young lady that wants to play at the next level then you have to play for a good travel team if you are from the Northeast TN area. If you are the young lady that just wants to play then there is no reason to put yourself through the year round grind. Also, I must say if you find a good travel team to play for it is a very rewarding experance and can be a real joy but those type of teams are few and far between. I hope every young lady has the opportunity to reach there dream. What ever they are!!! You are also right about the kids playing for the parents. If this is the case then everybody looses.

I caught word that Taylor Hall from Morristown West has stoped playing ball. From what I understand she received a full ride to UTC. Any word on why? She is a great talent and great young lady.

Makensey Campbell from Sullivan South to Western Carolina, Shelby Hicks from South Greene to USC UpState and Nancy Thacker from Fort Chiswell to Western Carolina... 3 down and 5 to go... all of the girls have offers.. hope they pick the best school for them..

Congrats to the Nautilus Express Girls team for Winning the Elite Division Championship at the Battle of the Boro this week. The girls played there guts out and showed heart and determination. These girls deserve everything they get from all of the hard work they have put into this team.
