  1. They have won in every sport but football. That says it was coaching.
  2. Ezell Harding is not in the TSSAA for football this season. They have gone down to the MTAC 8 man league in Football. Webb School has taken their place in D-II A. Webb School (Bell Buckle) Only 8 games scheduled. Open dates: 8/23, 9/13 & 10/11
  3. Grace Christian Franklin- 9/27, 10/11 Zion Christian- 9/20, 10/11 Raleigh Egypt Memphis- 9/13, (They have an unusual schedule with Monday and Thursday games late season so may not want to fill the open Friday)
  4. One would think that with a former NFL player as a head coach and having a much better year than Franklin High last season Grace could potentially draw some "neighborhood" kids to their program. Fortunately for FHS this JV decision by Grace will all but guarantee they won't loose a single player to the little school.
  5. Any changes at FHS this season other than the upgraded field to turf?
  6. Sounds like a good move for Coach Hester. Sad for Nolensville which looked to make some noise in the next year or two. Hopefully Coach Derrick won't miss a beat. They have been running the same system together at both Ravenwood and Nolensville for years. One would expect this to be a smooth transition. Good luck to both.
  7. I found this on elevenwarriors.com they were highlighting several players from the Army AA game. This is what they said about Max Wray: Wray started for the East squad at left tackle, while uncommitted four-star recruit Rasheed Walker – another Ohio State target – started for the East at right tackle. Wray, who started ahead of former Ohio State target Jackson Carman on the East depth chart, appeared to have a strong showing in pass protection while also showing quick feet when asked to pull block. Wray was penalized for a false start, however, while playing right tackle late in the game, which led to an unsuccessful two-point conversion that the East squad needed to win the game.
  8. Being a Wilco guy, I'm not familiar with the Principal at Blackman but this reminds me of when Clayton was let go at Franklin. After averaging more than 9 wins per season, making the playoffs every year, and taking the his team to the state championship game, he was fired. There was no reason given to him or anyone else other than they wanted to go a different direction. He landed on his feet and so will Coach Watson. At some point these power tripping administrators need to get a clue. Good coaches are harder to find than they think and when you have one you support him. Good luck Coach Watson.
  9. Riverdale wins and the four seed goes to the quarters. 24-21
  10. I agree that Oakland wins but no way by three scores. 35-28
  11. I've been a fan of Alvin Palmer since his days at Franklin and then Page in Wilco. I don't know much about Fayetteville other than the record and the head coach and I would love to see Coach P pull this one out. Unfortunately it's near impossible for any 4 seed to beat an undefeated 1 seed especially when they are destroying people Huntingdon has.
  12. On any given year I would put Region 3 6A's top four teams against any other 6A regions top four in the state and they finish no worse than 3-1 against most and 4-0 against several.
  13. REGION 6-6A has a four way tie for first and two teams looking for their first region win. Here's how it looks: Rwood, Bwood, CHS, and Indy are all going to the playoffs but we won't know until tomorrow night how they finish since they are all playing each other. The short is the two winners finish one, two and the two losers finish three, four. Indy wins and Bwood wins= 1. Bwood, 2. Indy, 3. CHS, 4. Rwood 5./6. FHS-DHS winner/loser Indy wins & CHS wins= 1. Indy, 2. CHS, 3. Rwood, 4. Bwood 5./6. FHS-DHS winner/loser Rwood wins & Bwood wins= 1. Rwood, 2. Bwood, 3. Indy, 4. CHS 5./6. FHS-DHS winner/loser Rwood wind & CHS wins= 1. CHS, 2. Rwood, 3. Bwood, 4. Indy 5./6. FHS-DHS winner/loser Crazy to think Bwood can potentially finish 4th having an 8-2 overall record if they lose and CHS can potentially win the region with a 5-5 overall record. Meanwhile Franklin just wants to get this embarrassing season over with and Dickson fans are still complaining (with good reason) for being put back in this powerhouse region. If Rutherford County Region 3-6A is the "SEC" of TSSAA then Williamson County Region 6-6A would have to be the "BIG 10" or "ACC".
  14. For what its worth, Franklin only has two victories on the season and one was without the two "star" linemen. The Wray brothers being gone may actually work in Franklins favor. Unfortunately it is too late to save the season and make the playoffs.
