  1. It looks like no one has been active on this message board for a while, but I am hoping someone will catch this. If you have not seen what TSSAA has done to cross country, track, golf, and tennis, you need to check it out. The Board of Control voted to reclassify these four sports together back in July and split "participating" schools right down the middle. The result which was released at the start of this week was disastrous. No one is happy with the change, or at least runners, parents, and at least 20 coaches I've talked to. TSSAA needs to fix this mess in November at their next meeting. It's beyond ridiculous.

  3. Several media outlets in Knoxville are reporting CAK will make the transition to Division II next year. http://www.knoxnews.com/sports/high-school/cak-decides-to-make-move-to-division-ii-3d0c4088-9b41-72ca-e053-0100007f15c9-394352601.html
  4. Several media outlets are reporting CAK will go Division II next year as well. Any word on Knoxville Catholic?
  5. CPA announced today that it will be moving to division II next year. It's the first from the midstate to make the declaration. Any news from the east? West? We have just over two weeks now.
  6. Alright. Back to the original intent of this discussion thread. We will know for sure by mid-October about current private schools going to division 2. But as of right now, who all has declared an official intent to make the move? Notre Dame and Chattanooga Christian? What about the Knoxville privates? Have any officially made an announcement yet?
  7. That's correct. I'm wanting to know which schools, if any, have actually declared their intent to leave division I to move to division II.
  8. I've looked through several discussion threads so forgive me if I have overlooked this question somewhere. Since the TSSAA ruling at the start of the 2015-2016 school year, are there any private schools that currently compete in Division I that are officially planning to move into Division II by the 2017-2018 school year? I've heard rumors of Chattanooga Christian and Notre Dame. Can anyone confirm any specific schools or perhaps even some rumors? I know they still have plenty of time but I'm just curious.

Or are we all just assuming that every private school will definitely leave Division I?

  11. This district is still wide open. I never expected the first half to go this way. Wow on the CM win over York tonight. And LA over Upperman. Just wow.
  12. Central Magnet 52 Macon County 35 Final
  13. It was an honor to watch this game. So proud of the class shown by both teams. You have to give Blackman credit for pulling out the win, but Oakland Coach Jennifer Grandstaff did an outstanding job today and her girls responded when so many didn't give the Lady Patriots a chance at all. It was one of those games that you hate to see anyone lose.
  14. What will happen in this game?
  15. Come on Cannon and Central Magnet!
