  1. You obviously have only seen Stone play just that one game this year. They are legit. They have already beaten Maryville and Science Hill in the regular season and played Bradley close. It will be an excellent State Tournament.
  2. Stone Memorial with two good wins today against a very athletic West Creek and East Hamilton. Great team basketball! Fun to watch.
  3. Stone Memorial takes down Goodpasture and Riverdale today. They beat Riverdale convincingly 61 to 43. The Panthers are off to a good start.
  4. Stone Memorial knocks off Bradley Central tonight in OT 62 to 53! Another big win for the Panthers!
  5. Stone Memorial takes down Riverdale tonight! Great Game!

    6AAA

Stone swept the next highest seed, White County. Rhea split with White County.

    6AAA

Actually it is a tie between Stone Memorial and Rhea Co. Stone Memorial will be the number one seed in the District tournament.
  8. So with Cumberland County dropping to AA status who do you think will fill their spot/ position in District 6AAA?
  9. Stone beat Walker Valley by 16, not 9. Congrats to Bradley on winning the semi-final game tonight vs Stone. My opinion, they end their season at substate (sectionals).
  10. I get people having opinions. However, the record tells the story. Head to head, Stone Memorial beat White Co. twice and has taken care of business at the end of this season. I think the coaches got it right at the district meeting and the two best teams are where they are supposed to be Monday night. Don't get me wrong, other than Cumberland Co. being the dominate team in the district, second through fifth place has been a close race. I feel Monday night could be a great game and Stone is peaking at the right time. Should be fun to watch!
  11. White Co. is extremely well coached and played hard and actually shot the lights out. I was told they shot it 44% from the field. However, I agree with 85warrior, turn overs hurt them late as Stone started applying more pressure on the ball. It doesn't hurt that Stone also shot it well (50% from the field). Stone was weak on the boards early giving White Co. to many second chance points. However, they fought back and made big shots in the clutch. It was a high scoring, close, fun girls game to watch. Two excellent programs!
  12. I would say White Co is the toughest "home court advantage". Fantastic fan support there every year! Stone Memorial took Bradley to the wire tonight. Bradley had to hit a last second shot to win.
  13. I agree with 85warrior. The season is still very young. It's not how you start it's how you finish. That's when the cream rises to the top! 6AAA is loaded with talent. It's going to come down to how well that talent gels on each team. I would love to hear how some of this talent is developing in other parts of the district.
  14. How are White Co., Cumberland Co., Cookeville, Warren and Rhea looking. I know Rhea has a new coach and I have heard they like to play fast. Has anyone seen them in action? It will be good to see the Carlton girl back on the floor for Cumberland Co. after suffering a knee injury last year.
  15. Looks like Stone pulled out a victory in OT.
