  1. Sounds like a good idea. Shake the tree and see what falls out. Charging kids to play, that's ludicrous. Even worse if the parents agreed to pay. No high school coach should ever be charging his own kids. If he did do that, then there is no wonder why kids leave. Don't blame them.
  2. Lol don't sound like it. Slap on the wrist for the program. They were lucky.
  3. Something had to be up then. Cause if the whole truth was told then the punishment would have been worse. I still don't understand how you can play middle schoolers and high schoolers together on the same team and not get punished at all. Some of the truth had to have been left out.
  4. I don't know though, it really puts all the pressure on the coach. It sounds like he was directing the whole thing and he got everyone involved. So now everyone involved in it is looking at him. If TSSAA had came down on them then possibly all the freshman wouldn't have got to play. Then all the freshman parents would have went crazy on him. Could have cost him and a couple more their job after barely a year. Cleveland dodged a big bullet, sounds like. Now the EYE is on them. Only 1 team in Bradley County can get away with it and it ain't Cleveland or Walker Valley.
  5. That's RIDICULOUS, you have got to be kidding. What 3 girls get to play for their coach. Who picks them? Those 3 would have the upper hand on the others "NOT FAIR". So the best 3 will play. You must be Clevelands head coach. No wonder they are in so much trouble. Keep the best forget the rest. Great policy. HS coaches have NO business in the AAU game.
  6. No not to harsh, slap on the hand really. Could've been a whole lot worse. Lucky! Better be careful now though it's like they got a free pass this time. To many eyes on this program now. Everyone is watching and waiting.
  7. Just sad for the 8th graders. I'm sure their parents had no idea they were doing something illegal. Most players will do what is ask of them. And if they were ask to play then they shouldn't be punished but whoever ask them should.
  8. Well if this is true then yes they should be punished. Regardless if it's true or not it sure looks bad. The sad part is it's not the girls fault. If coaches or administration were involved, they had to know that rule.
  9. Thats the worse excuse ive heard. Average, HA apparently you didnt watch Bradley play cleveland. If any team dont have their best 2 players they all would be average. Great line of thought SMH! And no, just because you win a middle school tourney, does not mean it will translate to high school success. Especially when your best players move out after 8th grade. Why? Well better coaching, better program, family reasons. It really dont matter. Schedule single A teams, play in weak tournaments thats the recipe for success at cleveland.
  10. Not as long as Bradley is winning, Cleveland will lose their best players to them also. Good luck but Cleveland never beats Bradley that's just the way it is. Cleveland can keep scheduling weak single A teams to bump their record and say how improved they are. Anyone who knows anything about basketball knows at the end of the day the Bears rule Bradley county period
  11. So is the 2 EH girls coming to Bradley?
  12. Seen them both and it will be closer than you think. Who knows??? I know who should win but on any given night, who knows. 1 senior, 3 juniors and a host of talented freshman that will fight to the end. Forget all the other games this is the one that matters. Should be a good one.
