boogie123
Yes but wouldn't it be interesting to have one overall winner? I'm not sure what other states do but it makes for state-wide excitement and celebration of the one best player in Kentucky. Just a thought. DougS
Sorry, I misunderstood. Wow, 7 or even 10 from all state regardless of division or region would make it very interesting. Pretty sure no AD or school would ever go for it.
boogie123
They are rabid about their basketball in Kentucky - even down to the high school level. They have big media days for the nominees and a lot of press hype. Would be fun to have that here in TN!
RealisticFan45
Snubbed- Jaylen Barford Jackson Southside and i kind of like the Seniors only idea. The messed up part about it is that a couple of the guys wont even be participating in the state tournament and a couple guys who got snubbed will be there. MrTSSAA
I'll take: Bradford - Humboldt Blackwell - CPA Black - WhiteStation Marberry - FRA Fleming - Ensworth
DougS
if the voting took place before this past weekend, I believe Leron will win for AAA. If it has not, CJ Anderson will win.
RonMexico3
How does Marberry win when he wasn't the best player in his district?
boogie123
How does Marberry win when he wasn't the best player in his district? And who might you suggest should have been the winner???
RonMexico3
The guard from BGA. He seemed like a better player, better skills, just not 6'7. He lead BGA to 5 wins of FRA and a state championship this year. You put that guard in a 6'7 frame and he would be all American.

If the 2 guys played the same position, you might be able to compare them in that way. But to compare a point guard to a post player doesn't really make much sense. SB1976
There were a number of worthy candidates in Div 2-A. I thought Moran should have at least been nominated. If they had voted after the tournament he would have been. Marberry, Wertner, Hertel, Moran, the 2 kids from Knox Webb - all good players. And Skai didn't even play this year. Div 2-A top players were actually better than Div 2-AA - which was very weak this year. Any of the top A players would have been worthy of winning the AA award this year.
