Private school missions

Someone explain to me why a public/private split would affect a private school's mission. Roller (I think) from lipscomb and someone frm MTCS basically said that they would have to re-evaluate there mission with a split. Why?

Only public school kids are worth evangelizing to.

 

That's only half in-jest, BTW. The "mission" argument probably has something to do with interacting with people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. More likely to get that in DI than DII.

Any Christian school that changes their MISSION, needs to take the Christian out of their name. As far as I know, a christians mission never changes. Its about saving lost souls,not opening holes for the runners to run through.

Lipscomb changed its mission when they ran CPA out of their district.
