On a positive note, the basketball Govs have started the season with wins over Bradley Central 73-62, South Doyle 61-58, and Powell 100-92. The 100 points scored Saturday night was a school record. They will Host Riverdale Tuesday night.

Did Cole Copeland play for Bradley or is he still out with his shoulder?

Not by any stretch of the imagination, but it's also foolish to pretend that the Govs did not take steps forward this year. I saw a WB team go on the road and beat DB and give a Hardin Valley team that went to the quarterfinals fits. You'll see more of that going forward.

I'm not concerned with their schedules. They are the ones weighing in on our schedule. I'm just returning the favor.

I'm sure Oak Ridge and Alcoa would schedule WB next year to help strengthen both teams schedules.

I am already on record that Alcoee should not play Alnwick nor A&M.

Alcoee's schedule is a dog as it is now.

They need to pick up better teams to play than these two.

Fulton, Greeneville (which I believe will happen) and a newly revamped AE should be on the docket next season.

I will give you some of that but in the end it's still about wins. Let's see what next year brings.

I can't agree. if and would have should have don't mean squat. They were 2-8. Plus finished the year with 20-30 players quitting and not even going to the playoff game. I can't call that progress. doesn't bode well for 2017.

Any coach that let those kids that quit come back would look like a total joke for doing so next year. I seriously doubt Shad would let that happen if he returns there to coach. Can't blame the man if he took a job at another school coaching the Women's Tiddly Winks Team to get out of that mess.

I think Copeland and Tucker was both out. Not real sure, but heard something bout it.
