uknoit2
I think you work year around regardless, you can always modify things. The human body is really good at adjusting . Plenty of programs work year around and it don,t matter how many sports the kids play. I,m not sure many will agree with me but how in the heck can a kid reach potential if he plays 2 0r 3 sports and does nothing In season. Yep....as my post above states! Too many think that once football is over, the work is over....Unreal what the body & mind can be pushed to become! All it takes is workers and support
pujo
Coach can only do so much with the time he has during school....and even practice doesn't allow the time needed to prepare these boys physically and mentally... Coach's program is a good one and the new "extended" program adds to his. The extended program is extremely demanding BUT every kid that has stuck with it has done darn well on the field, court and class room....Not just here, but at other programs also....It teaches one to press forward when the body wants to quit...Takes them to a different level (physically & mentally) than they believed was possible and then they begin to see the positive results IF they don't quit. The more that go thru this program, the tuffr, more explosive, & faster we'll be....And as you said, it will carry over into the real world which is most needed in this day and time. We're on the verge of creating something a lil different here...The turnout has been good and will be great when basketball is over. We have the tools, trainers, coaches & support to accomplish what we've been wanting to do IMO. Sounds good if people buy in.
uknoit2
Sounds good if people buy in. The ones that don't, will be left behind, watching those that did! You know as well as I that this coach plays the ones that can get the job done....Boys better be working NOW to have the spot they had and want!! Its real simple, to be Below, you have to do NOTHING, average does what average people do ,to be above requires a lot of sacrifice and determination. I honestly believe we have quiet a few "above average" coming up...They not only want to win, they'll work to win and have the parents to push them to do so

Its usually a very few who go the extra mile.

Kids can work on their own but Coaches can be no part of it.

uknoit2
Is this the Timmy program that wants kids to pay 5 bucks per day we are speaking of..I was told lifting starts dec.5 Yes it is...It's a program separate from any coach's program and separate from school activities. We understand there are kids that may not be able to afford the $5 a day...If they want to work, there's a path for them to be able to do so, with the others...It is not a money maker although it will aid in supplying some needed FB items
uknoit2
Call me a doubting Thomas but I see VERY few buying in. Not the way it's been so far....Been a good turnout. Mine bought in years ago and done well...Prepared him well I might add. It's what you gotta be able to do to play with the MC's in high school and make it the first few weeks in college. If only the three or four make it through, you'll be able to tell who they are on the field. BTW, Timmy is sending yours and mine the workout they requested...I'm sure they'll go by it and will be beasts with speed by spring Edited November 28, 2016 by uknoit2
