Not sure what Rankwrestlers is and don't mean to knock anyone as some of these guys are very deserving but... considering  Reiniche is undefeated against a large # of kids on this list I would take it with a grain of salt.

Not to mention Brackett after winning fargo this past summer and placing 6th at the US Open last month.

I'm not sure the equation they use to determine all american, but from signing up and checking it out, it simply uses trackwrestling data and head to head data to determine their rankings.  So if someone isn't ranked it is probably because their matches are not being put into trackwrestling.  But again it also may be a flawed algorithm.  It does not look at any national tournaments just the best of the best from what it finds in trackwrestling.

Dende and Reiniche are now on the list, which requires a wrestler to reach a total score of at least 99.0% on RankWrestlers.  It is a very difficult accomplishment to achieve.  Brackett is not quite there yet (98.5%), but he could very well be there before the end of the season, as the list is updated daily along with the rankings.

Coach Peck is correct that this is based on this high school season's results from matches listed in TrackWrestling (not on offseason tournaments).  Most of the teams in Tennessee do a nice job of keeping their TrackWrestling results updated, so it can provide a helpful objective view of how things stand in the state and how TN wrestlers compare with others around the country.  Obviously no one really knows what will happen, as experts are surprised every day, but it is fun to see what the wrestlers have achieved over the course of the season.

The total score is a combination of an adjusted win percentage (based on the quality of opponent and type of win), the three best wins of the season and head to head adjustments.  RankWrestlers.com has a one-time free one-hour trial for those that may be interested in checking it out.  You will see that it is not a joke or scam, but a very interesting website loaded with helpful information.
