I assume OR will hold on for the win being up 4 start of 4th but if they do win and play like this Saturday East will skull drag them. Brentwood has tons of open shots do to lazy man defense by the guards but they just didn't fall.

They better think Higgins if they win because he is the only one who has showed up to play today.

First game is usually the Toughest. Brentwood is a Darn Good Team, 3A Basketball is Tough to Win. Brentwood had the Ball & the lead with less than 10 seconds left vs East last year & kid dribbled the ball off his foot, East hits a Layup & rest is History. Bad Teams don't make it to State Tourny in AAA

Walker Valley made it last year who lost to Hardin Valley during the season a team in which you called terrible. You don't make a lot of sense when you speak and contradict yourself at every turn.

You're right, bad teams don't make it. But I still say there are only 3 here who should have a chance to win it

If East shoots 3s the way they did today, we will beat them. They'll run with us and that plays into our strength

I chuckled. Tee Higgins has been the only person to show up for OR. If Jones plays like this vs East it will be over before halftime. East still put up 70+ while being uncharacteristicly bad from the 3 today.

Be very careful what you wish for. If you run with East, you're playing to their strength also. Brentwood gave them fits last year by choosing to hold the pace down...turn your ponies loose and their horses will run.

    • Began as a discussion, and evolved into a trainwreck...   Don't know how many of the TC "old guard" are left, but I feel for y'all.   Everybody has to get the last word... no matter the cost and sometimes the cost is high.
    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
    • Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
    • I am pro coach all day long but there are some knucklehead hires for sure.
