Mississippi does that I think the the 3A or the D2 AA champ is usually way better than the rest though. I couldn't see anyone other than Brentwood staying within 20 of East. I'm having trouble thinking of lower classification champs from the recent past that could compete. Maybe 07 Liberty

Liberty now that's a name I haven't heard around in awhile. They fell off a cliff since the 2010-11-12 seasons when they battled Mitchell in AA.

Yup MS does do that. Obviously most years the team to win would be D2-AA or AAA, but it would lead for some good matchups and be cool to see some of the smaller schools have a chance to prove themselves.

 

As for the topic at hand, I think no doubt the best 2 are East and BA. I would go with East just because I've seen them play more than BA, but I could see the other side as well.

Liberty had a couple of teams that could have been in the conversation, along with the Olajuan Kemp, Wayne Chism, and Willie Kemp Bolivar years, and the Thaddeus Young led teams of Mitchell.

Your first post you said unapproved website had them ranked #13 in the state but your Logic is because they have the best record they are #1, but couldn't even win a game at the glass house ?
