Harriman gets Snubbed

All State is an individual award. No disrespect to Harriman but there isn't 1 player on that team that will play basketball in college. The kids on the all state team will play in college. Just like the all star game in Cookeville tomorrow. No one from Harriman is in it. All of the kids in the game are on the all state team. It is what it is.

wrong. There are offers on the table for all 4 of out top players. McClain signed to play ball with Bryan today. One kid is going to continue his education at UTK (chose to not play ball). Pace has some offers on the table for football and basketball. Johnson is getting some interest to go play at a few schools. The kids don't care about all state, they care about their big accomplishment and representing this community with the GOLD BALL.

The all-state team was voted on before the state tournament, but I was stunned that Pace or McClain one didn't make it. As far as Harriman not having any kids that will play in college, four of the starters have college offers. McClain signed with Bryan College today. Pace and Johnson also have offers to sort out, Pace will have to decide football and baseball as well. Bingham let teams know early on that he wasn't going to play college basketball, but they were still in contact. If they wanted, all four could play at the next level.

As a whole East Tennessee got the shaft this year. In all three classes only six of the I think 45 players that were selected from East Tennessee. Guys like Pace, McClain and Grace Christian's Connor Arnold are no-brainers for the list, but it sounds like East Tennessee must not have been well represented when they voted.

I stand corrected. I meant Division 1 college basketball. That's what REALLY matters!! And again, no disrespect to your team but all state is a who's who of division 1 caliber talent.

There are 2 player (from Mitchell and union city) in A that is even playing in the allstar game in Cookeville. To think everyone on the A all state team is D1 material is laughable and shows how little you know

Parker Stewart Union City runner up Mr. Basketball going to Ole Miss. Tyreke Key going to Indiana State. Kid from Humbolt going to a division 1 school. Josh Conrad form WEB Dubois signed committed yesterday to a division 1 school. There's 4 for you right there from class A playing at the next level "Division 1" and what do you know, they're all state and in the all star game tomorrow!!! Those are just 4 off the tool of my head.

Stop fooling yourself!!!!!!!

So were are the other 11 players signed that are D1? To be on the all state team doesn't mean you have to go D1 expecially in A basketball. You must be talking about 2 different all star games because out of the kids you named Stewart is the only one playing in cookeville tomorrow.....

D1 is all that matters huh? A free college education is what really matters. Doesn't matter what level you play at, just gotta have someone take that chance on you and you excel on and off the court. Basketball ends for everybody at some point. The real world never ends and someone giving you the opportunity to come out after 4 years with a Bachelors degree and NO DEBT, you're a couple of steps ahead of a lot of people..

I think the snub from Region 2 wasn't the Harriman kids.. where in the world was Connor Arnold from GCA? I looked twice...did my eyes fail me? Hands down, he was the top player in the region. Certainly the Harriman kids were good, as were Mckinney and Moore and a couple others... But Arnold was the top kid I saw in region 2. Headscratcher.
