LG1977
I had to privilege of seeing a spring practice just the other day over at Fulton. I was very impressed with their skill players especially #1 the QB. He looks better and better every time I see him. #4 looks really good too and someone said he is only going to be a 10th grader. Looks like they have changed some players positions too. I saw some 30 and 40 numbers down with the lineman so maybe they will be alright there after all. I don't get on here much anymore due to my health but since I was at Tennova the other day I got to watch. Anyone else have any thoughts? Their QB will give them a chance to win pretty much every time out. He's pretty special. I never doubt Rob Black and that staff. They will have a great shot winning that region and advancing deep in the playoff in their first year in 5A. Fulton still has a ton of quality athletes. HTV .. if they do that this year they will have had done a heck of a coaching job for sure .. think they have a couple of soph or Jr OL and DL lineman .. aside from that .. I think the rest of the OL and DL will come from 3rd and 4th string FB's or something like that ..I too saw some 30 and 40 numbers with the line at practice .. do agree they have some athletes at Qb, RB and WR and DB but just got NO linemen at all ... hope those backup FB's can be at least serviceable ... guess the Offense will be QB getting the ball out to playmakers ASAP
DragonVol
If Fulton gets better on the offensive and defensive line then they should have no problem winning that region. They always have the skill players, and Malone should give them a chance in every game. Looking forward to following the falcons this year
LG1977
Talked to a man this morning and he had been told Fulton has lost another lineman to transfer. Something about he has moved out west somewhere and now will have to sit out a year possibly. So they have moved more low numbers to high numbers I'm told. With as much skills guys they have with Malone it won't do a bit of good without a line. Hopefully some of these young men will buy into playing line and everything will work out. This guy even said he wouldn't be surprised if Fulton had a losing record this year based on the line. How does this happen to a school that just recently won 3 championships in a row, 6 in 10 years and 2 runner-ups? I'm told the 8th grade team is stacked heavy with 8th graders that the high school needs though. Thoughts?

Heard the same thing ... so the 2 guys that were coming back that were the 2 best and the 2 that had played at all are now at other schools .. the latest from mom's job being moved I heard and the other from a lineman who wants to play TE .. so that leaves 0 returning linemen with any experience ... honestly I have no idea if they will even have 5 linemen total ... like I said there may be some 170 pounders playing on the OL and DL ... never seen a team so void of OL and DL .. have great skill guys but if you have noone to block then ??? Moving to 5A they will be playing a bunch of teams with 50- 80 players .. I counted about 26 or 27 players on field ..
KnoxVil
I have a funny feeling things will all work out in the end for the Falcons.

Space3
What do you Fulton fans think about Central game 1st game of the season? I know AC plays Carter 1st game on TV Thursday but their QB left to go to Central. I here he is pretty good. Hopefully that will be the game of the week. It will be a good game to watch. I know AC plays Carter 1st game on TV Thursday but their QB left to go to Central. I here he is pretty good. Hopefully that will be the game of the week. It will be a good game to watch. Not only did Central get a QB transfer in, but with him also came a solid WR and a LB. Central returns virtually everybody up front with the exception of Isaac Buell. Obviously Buell was a big cog, but Central will still be very good and experienced up front. I saw them scrimmage against Farragut, and even in a green "touch" jersey, the QB and RBs were able to do some solid work against a good Farragut team. Central will be fine. They are as well coached as anybody in Knox County. And that AC at Carter game was picked to showcase the new turf at Carter.
LG1977
So I made it breakfast this morning, first time in a month and I hear the Carter coach is back with Fulton but they lost two coaches at the same time. One being a coordinator and another a position coach, both have been there for 6 plus years. That's tough on a team especially a team that is losing players too ( so I was told). I'm stuck in and out of a hospital room but I'll keep listening in. Strange what's going on for such a prestigious program.
FHSalumn12
Fulton took a blow last week losing its best wr for the season to an ACL/MCL tear... I think they will adjust tho due to the amount of talent at the skill positions... I am most worried about the small line we have this year... the jump to 5A will be even tougher... I believe Fulton will do fine this year but it's hard for me to see a state title just yet... I hope some of those lineman prove to be effective regardless of the size...
