2017 Class 5A Coaches Preseason Poll: Murphy Fair Magazine

The 2017 Edition of Murphy Fair's High School Football Preview is just a few weeks away from hitting the shelves.  It will be the 30th year that he had released the magazine.  

 

Class 5A Top 10:

 

1.)  Knoxville Catholic 

2.)  Rhea County 

3.)  Oak Ridge

4.)  Hillsboro 

5.)  Fulton

5.)  Henry County 

7.)  South Doyle

8.)  Knoxville Central 

9.)  Beech

10.)  Ridgeway

I thought Catholic lost several key players but they must have just reloaded.

Oak Ridge at # 3 seems high. Rhea County will be hard to beat in the playoffs.

Seems fair enough. I think henry county should be a lititle higher but I understand after last year there is some doubt

 The Irish lost a lot of seniors on offense and defense to graduation. The O-line is very good. The schedule is brutal. I'm curious to see how Catholic looks this year.

Hopefully, Fulton and Oak Ridge are both still here by the time 10/27 rolls around. Something tells me it might not end up that way but it would make for a fun time.

Well Guvna, that ball game is set to go down at Fulton.

If both teams are doing well Packer may want this game on Thursday the 26th. This game could be for 1st place. Practice starts Monday!

My understanding is that this game will be played at Fulton.
