The Lady Wildcats opened play in the Greeneville's Andrew Johnson Ladies Classic yesterday y with an easy win over North Greene. Today, at 4:00 pm they will battle a good Morristown West team. David will not have the game on the radio but search Google for the tournament's web site and check to see if they will stream the games.

At the end of the first quarter, Oak Ridge leads 16 - 15 over Morristown West. Jaymi Golden is on fire with 13 points on 5 - 5 2 point shooting and 1 - 1 3 pointers. Her 3 ball game at the buzzer to end the first.

Dowdell has 3 fouls. Lady Cats are shooting 53% from the field. Golden still has 13 points.

The end of the third quarter, Oak Ridge leads  44 - 31. West is getting sloppy and oak Ridge is burning the nests En fuego.

Final...Oak Ridge 51   Morristown West 43. 

I think the Lady Wildcats ( 9 - 3 ) have turned the corner after losing 3 early games. A very tough game tomorrow in the semifinals vs the winner of  West Clermont ( Ohio ) and Jefferson County.at 8:30 pm.

Oak Ridge was led in scoring by Jennifer Azzi with 37 points and Nikki Caldwell's 27.  Jennifer Wilson collected 18 rebounds. Okay, I I will get serious lol.  

Golden led the lady Cats with 18, Dowdell with 13 second half points and Jada Guinn's 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.  Last night OR shot 63% and continued to shoot well with 57% FG against MW, FT 9 - 13 but only 2 - 8 from the 3 point line.

 

Give Morristown West credit they put on a fourth quarter rally to put some doubt in my mind.

Friday at 8:30 pm, Oak Ridge will face West Clermont of Cincinnati, Ohio. in semifinal action. West Clermont defeated Jefferson County 46 - 37. The Ohio team has a player signed to Wisconsin and another to Gardner Webb.
