Fun, random fact: Today is the 10th anniversary to the date of when the best WB team ever took off the pads for the last time.

In the 10 seasons following 2007, WB has won just 24 games combined. which comes out to an average of 2.4 wins per year.

Historically, WB's truly competitive teams appear after long droughts, so we have to savor the "special" seasons when they come around. 1991, 1999, and 2007 are the only teams (in my opinion) to fit that criteria. The previous trend was 8 seasons between each great team, but we're still waiting on the next one. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Until then, I'll be re-watching the 2007 highlight video and supporting our excellent softball and girls basketball teams. Go Govs!!

Well I guess the Word of the Day must have hurt someone's feelings for it to be deleted from Coach T lately. You can hide from the truth but you can't hide from the record written in stone 2-9,  2-9 and 1-9.

At this point, it is a little disrespectful to the kids. Say what you want about Shad and the admin, but posting it on here everyday isn't fair to the 14-18 year olds who play, and have to read that stuff on Coacht.

WB only lost 7 seniors from this year's team and the team had lots of good young talent including a freshman QB who had a really strong finish to an otherwise disappointing season. And I believe the JV team finished 6-2 on the year, and we have another good middle school class coming up to join the ranks.

There are a lot of reasons to believe one of those good seasons will be coming soon. It just has to happen. Its been a freaking decade.

All Region ... you might want to add on the boy's basketball team to your list of teams  you're going to support.  Best squad we've had in a few years.  Very exciting to watch this yea!

That's even better news!! I love *ALL* Govs teams, so I should have phrased that more accurately. There literally isn't a better man than Kevin Windle in HS sports. Last year's team was good and I thought they had the potential to make a nice tourney run. I'm glad that this year's squad has the same chance. Also, it doesn't get much publicity...but the WB girls wrestling team is great and could seriously contend for WB's first team state title.

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
