Semifinals: Rockwood hosts Tyner Academy

I said a few weeks ago, I was really wanting to see Rockwood play Tyner and well here we go! Huge game for both teams!!

First ever meeting.

Rockwood is 1-3 in semi-final games. Last played in 2009.

Tyner is 2-1 is semi-final games. Last plated in 2005.

1 common opponent this year.  Rockwood beat Tellico Plains 33-13 in week 2. Tyner beat Tellico Plains 48-8 in week 8.

Well, here we are RTF19...the two teams on the Coacht boards who were least likely to advance(according to the prognosticators). Just goes to show its always won on the field!!

Big game After a big meal(Thanksgiving)..don't eat too much!

Rams will roll.  Just like the last several years, as long as they play clean, Tyner has a chance to win two more ballgames.

You don't either! A lot of people will say there's no way Rockwood can win this game and or the Rams will roll. You absolutely never know until you get on that field! I hope both teams play well and no one gets hurt. I for one hope this is a back and forth game until the last few seconds, minutes, or whatever. I would love it if Rockwood proves everyone wrong like we did tonight against Meigs, but we will see.

Meigs is no Tyner.........Rockwood has a chance though, they are where most teams want to be, playing after thanksgiving.......

Meigs is no Tyner. Tyner is a great football team. That's why a few weeks ago I wanted to play them. Playing Tyner will really test and see how good Rockwood actually is. I personally wanted to know that. I was saying also a few weeks ago, how come Coach Webb doesn't schedule a team like Tyner or some of the better teams and gauge how good his team is.

MEIGS was the number 1 team in the state...how can you say Tyner is Better?  MEIGS is a heck of a football team. 12 and 0 until tonight.  No disrespect to Tyner...as they are also only 1 of 4 2A teams still playing.  Rockwood isn't small and has 2 backs over 1000 yards rushing and a third one closing in on 1000.
