2018 Class A

Lake County's season is over so I can talk about next year. The falcons return 20 starters next year.18 will be juniors. How many starting seniors did teams in this years 1A top ten lose? How many starters does your team return? Alot of schools will say they are young but how many of the young guys were actual starters? I suspect LC, Huntingdon, Cornersville,  Dresden will be players in west. So. Pitt,  Greenback and Whitwell in the east. Who is the dark horse next year?

Greenback gets their whole D back and all but two on offense!! We did loose a senior on D earlier this year. So I guess we loose one on D also!

Greenback should be the best team in the east followed by SP, then Whitwell. I'm not sure anyone else in the east would be considered to be a good team. As for the west? Lake County, Cornersville, Wayne County, and Huntingdon should be the top 4 teams.

WC will return 20+ seniors with about 8 starters on both sides of the ball, some played both sides and a few that will be four year starters. Junior class isn't as big but got a few starters in it along with a huge sophomore class that has a lot of talent. With the kids returning and coach Rice still in charge all they gotta do is stay healthy, which was impossible this year, and they will be right back in the mix

Wayne County will also be improved. They had a lot of injuries for sure this season.

I agree! The east next year will be very week!!

As a whole it will be weak but there's going to be two very strong 1 A teams on the east side next year.

I agree, but they won’t play each other until the forth round! It’s going to be a lot of blow outs  next year or what I call stat builder games lol!

Whitwell has a very strong junior class coming back as well. Several good athletes. They will still be a solid team and easily the third best in the east. We will have a tough third round game. Greenback has smooth sailing for three rounds before being challenged. You boys have a special group of athletes right now.

Mt Pleasant has a lot of experience returning off of a 7-3 team next season, lost a very good running back.
