Cannon Changes

Yesterday Director of  Schools fired  Football Head  Coach and then last night the BOE moved the Director of Schools to the high school   and named a new director for the system. Chairman of the BOE is the father of the Head Coach and if I was a betting person the new director will rename the old head coach as the new head coach soon.  What  a mess.

It's never been any different there in Cannon Co.  Sadly, there's still some of these Counties/Communities that just refuse to get it right.....for those at stake......the kids!!!

Five year record 4-46, region record 1-28 (sorry  Smith County) outscored 1943- 394 and people have to tell you to leave are you kidding me.

As far as on the field product Grundy is definitely better.

Rumor is that if the former Head Coach is put back in his former position ten teams in the state may have a open date next season. Would that make Cannon the only 3-A team in the state not to have football or are there other schools about the same size in the state that do not field a team.

I am not sure what you mean by not having a schedule, and according to TN High School Football he has resigned.

Parker may have said that you were going to be fired or you can resign, but I do not think he is coming back next year.  

Also, even if he did come back, why would other teams not play Cannon.  They would think that it is an easy win and have no problem playing a game with them.

Pretty sure Molly is saying they will not have any players at Cannon if the coach returns.

As tickled as I am about the coach being removed. Could we move on from the bashing and such. Maybe discuss a new guy? Anyone know of any good coaches available, or maybe a desperate one who can put out this dumpster fire?

It will have to be someone that is just starting out or someone that is washed up and looking for anywhere to go.
