2018 Class 2A

Who are the front runners for next season?  Union City, Peabody, McKenzie, Adamsville, etc. will be strong contenders in the west.  Waverly and Columbia Academy each will be in the hunt one would have to believe.  Tyner, Rockwood, Meigs County, etc. will all be teams to look out for I'd assume.  Thoughts?

Trousdale returns 9 starters on both sides of ball.

Meigs will return 11 on offense and 9 on defense.

Out of the East it will be Meigs. Tyner will have a chance again. 

Trousdale and Meigs will be the favorites to come out of the eastern side of the bracket.

Peabody and Waverly are my top 2 out of the west, but Union City will always be in the mix as well. 

 

As for the east? Trousdale County should be the beast of the east with Meigs County seeing them in the semifinals. I think Marion County and Tyner will both take a step back next season, but could be 2nd or 3rd round teams.

After 2018 Waverly is going to fall back off again, but I expect Peabody and Union City to be close each year for the next three seasons.

Yep I'm with you again.  Peabody and Wavo will likely battle it out for the west.

This is a likely scenario. Tyner loses a lot and we will be rebuilding for 2019.

On a side note: Rememeber how we talked about the east and west dominance runs in cycles? Barring 2A the East dominated the West this year in the title games. I was somewhat surprised at how easy some games were. You never know when the tide will turn. 

All the Memphis talk last year and you have 5 titles from the Knoxville area this year.

And even the 2A game came down to Double OT. So folks out West, I didn't see any "wiping up the field" or "Mercy Clock" on the East. Guess we are just a little tougher than you thought. See YOU next year.
