Peabody can definitely be the team that comes out on top of this region. My only concern is the Tide replacing a few big guys up front. Union City is always so consistent year in & year out. That’s why I think they’re usually safe to bet on. I’ll be eager for the Peabody & UC match up this year

I agree With everything you say. I just think the Tide will be able to scheme to free up all the athletes that will be on the field. But UC will ground and pound and will always be at the top of any region. Going to be interesting for sure.

I want to lean towards Union City coming out on top in this region because of the consistency that Coach Bowling has there, but likewise, I think Coach Jacobs at Peabody can have those boys playing at a top level as well. Week to week in this region is tough and one of the hurdles that Peabody must overcome in my book is the schedule they have. I understand that everyone plays the same teams in this region, but my perspective is where these games are played. This year Peabody has to travel to Union City and that is always a tough place to walk away with a W at. Peabody has to go to Trinity and Adamsville for their last 2 regular season games as well. Figuring that TCA will be much improved and then having to go to Adamsville to top off the regular season will be a handful for the Golden Tide. Not to mention Peabody travels to Milan the week before Union City too. This will be an exciting year for this region because there really is no outright clear favorite to walk out on top. I am looking forward to seeing some great football this fall.

bigedmo, I just been lurking trying to figure this team out.  We have had way more talent but this team is just different.  They are a tight group and are willing to help each other.  Once the bullets start flying how will they react is the big question.  We lost a lot from last years team and are as young as we have ever been.  Could be a few freshmen having to contribute and we normally do not have that problem.  Cant wait until scrimmages start to see how these boys  react.  Its my turn to be a dad watching the team so its new to me.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
